Vacation rentals in Haldimand County

We recently stayed at this quaint, historical, Irish cottage. Located on a farm... it was the perfect escape from the city. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped, with everything we needed to feel at home, comfy beds, lots of towels and blankets. The cozy living area, well-stocked kitchen, and very comfortable beds made our long weekend trip truly relaxing. The beach was a 3-4 minutes drive away, it was walkable but the road was a little narrow so we found it safer to drive with the kids and all our beach gear. We did miss not have access to a smart TV/netflix for all of 10 minutes but it was actually nice to disconnect and enjoy one of the dvds from the cottage collection. One of the highlights was sitting on the porch in the evening and enjoying the view. And we also enjoyed using the fire-pit with the engraved Shamrock! Wendy and her husband were very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend their cottage for your stay!

I can’t say enough great things about this place! From the start, Elizabeth was an absolute delight to work with, graciously accommodating the flexibility we needed during the booking process. The space was exactly as shown in the photos—stunning, minimal and open, with incredible lake views from the living room, kitchen & main bedroom. Everything was so thoughtfully designed that it perfectly suited all our needs during our weekend stay. We lounged on the cozy couches, played games (so many available), enjoyed the fire pit, walked to the lake, and cooked to our heart's content - the kitchen island was ideal for it! One of the most touching aspects was reading through the thoughtful keepsake detailing the families involved in the property, from its inception to the renovation. It gave us a deep appreciation for all the love & care poured into making this home so special. Huge thanks to Elizabeth & everyone involved for sharing their home with the world. We'll definitely be returning!

This is a wonderful place to stay with your family. It has a beautiful large lot and a bunkie in the back. We would definitely return.

We had such a lovely time during our stay. Our family particularly enjoyed the board games and walking to the beach. Such a lovely and welcome space and Sarah was so kind and responsive. We will be booking again in the future 🙂

We visited this sandbay house at dunnville last week and it was truly amazing. The backyard view from the house was stunning something felt unique. The weather was not great during our visit a lot of waves in the lake but we managed to kayak on the last day of our trip and everyone enjoyed it. Table tennis in the ground floor was good enough to enjoy some time there. Host was responsive and updated us for easy checkin and checkout. Surroundings felt private and peaceful. Few things which we don’t like was from the lake, there were many dead fish near by which emitted rotten smell. It was walkable nearby but nothing much to explore except for the Golf club. The moment we got in, the USA phone roaming was enabled which we were not aware of and I’m worried if I will get roaming charges in my bill. Above all it would be a great place in the summer and the stunning views were great to watch all the day.

We had a fantastic stay! The tiny home was beautifully built by Daniel himself, and it was so inspiring to hear his story. The interior, thoughtfully designed by his wife, was absolutely stunning. Overall, a wonderful and memorable experience — highly recommend!

The property is beautiful and exactly as described! Unfortunately our stay was cut short but Dan and Meghan were so nice, they offer us an extra night on our next stay! We will definitely be back again! Amazing hosts and an amazing property!

We absolutely loved our time at Anu’s lakeside cottage. We felt right at home. The lake was gorgeous and sounded like the ocean. The waves never stopped and the wind kept the bugs away. We enjoyed our evenings around the fire and bbq’d every night. The stars didn’t disappoint, there was very little light pollution! Oh and the sunsets were amazing. The cottage was homey, yet spacious and very comfortable. We slept so well, and it was great having a spare room for the two pack’n plays for our twins. It was our first getaway as a family of four and we hope to book there again next year!
