Cosy and Comfortable surrounded by nature, greeted by bird song and the chatter of the mischievous monkeys. Peaceful village ambience with plenty of smiling people. It's time to experience the real Sri Lankan village lifestyle, culture and traditions.
“Ruki and her husband Kolitha live in a beautiful house on the mountainside they built some 20 years ago. The Treehouse is a more recent addition. It is adjacent to the main house but - as you’d expect from a house in a tree - slightly above it. This means that you have complete privacy as well as being nearby. Ruki is the most wonderful hostess and the other reviewers are right; this is indeed an exceptional experience that I would give six stars to, if I could. Yes, it’s a tree house but it is also a luxury experience. You are a short Tuk-Tuk ride from town which Ruki can easily arrange although we enjoyed taking the bus for two days into Kandy which was a eye opening thing to do in itself. Wonderful food - do eat in of an evening if you can and know that Ruki can be trusted to sort out just about anything else. Breakfast is provided and we were in awe at the cooked treats and full plates of fruit Ruki provided for us. In summary, we had a wonderful time with the loveliest couple you could ever hope to meet. Thank you.”

Whispering Winds is a luxury bungalow located at a misty mountain top of Kandy. 20 mins drive to Kandy City & Peradeniya Gardens. Strategically located on the way back from Sigiriya / Damubull / Anuradhapura. 40 mins away from Pinnawala elephants orphanage. Note: Bungalow is located at a mountain top with a steep slope. Some vehicles cannot climb up and you may have to walk 100m
“We really liked the villa. Located on top of a mountain - the view is amazing. We occupied one room. The owner lives on the first floor. The owner is unobtrusive, but always ready to help. He offered dinner, offered places to visit. To Kandy 30 minutes, to the Botanical Garden 25 minutes by bike. A 7-minute drive to a supermarket and cafe. A place for those who want to enjoy the silence, beautiful views and the absence of neighbors. Spent a week here and did not want to leave. Thanks for the hospitality!”
