You get the feeling of being "alone in the whole world" despite 7 minutes to Fagernes town. Mindfulness. About 2.5 hours drive towards Valdres from Oslo. There is electricity and wood burning. There is one bedroom and a living room with a sofa bed, dining room and bathroom with shower. There is a bio toilet inside the bathroom. Must walk 40 meters from the parking space to the cabin. Wild, beautiful and steep! Cabin with great views. Great natural surroundings with good hiking opportunities. Høgestølen is about 25 min from Hemsedal City Centre (Alpine Center), 15 min to grocery store, and about 5 min. to a network of cross country skiing trails. The cabin is heated with electricity and wood, heating cables in the bathroom and combined washer/dryer The cabin is steep! Car road to the door, possible to park right outside. Here you can experience total silence. In the summer there will be cows and sheep in the area.

Our newly built "sleeping box" is designed and built by the award-winning architects in OPAFORM, Espen Folgerø and Marina Bauer, and is located on the 2nd floor in a timber grain barn from 1850 with an airy view of Strandavatnet. The box has a 1.80 double bed, but an extra mattress or crib can be added if needed. In the barn located in the building next door there is a built-in kitchen, bathroom and toilet. We offer a large double bed (king size). In addition, we can add an extra bed and/or crib if needed.
