Vacation rentals with lake access in Hermanus

We had a great stay in this spacious home - perfect for chilled family time. The house is well equipped and we really enjoyed the pizza oven and hot tub. The local host was very helpful and responsive

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

Our second time here at this wonderful house on the edge of the lagoon was truly spectacular! The house has absolutely everything you could need including table tennis, tennis racquets, bicycles and board games. The proximity to the water is very special with our boat moored at the beach right in front of the house. Thank you so much Marlize!

We had a fantastic family stay at Carol's beautiful beach home. It was spotless. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and we felt at ease and relaxed from the minute we walked in. Nice courtyard at the back to entertain and keep out of the wind on some of the days. Otherwise, a lovely braai spot in from of the house on the verande with ocean views. Morning coffee on the veranda every day, with a view of the ocean, was a treat. Just a short walk down the path to the harbour with restaurants and little shops as well as soft serve ice cream. A brisk 2km walk down to the main beach all along the coastline making. Carol was super friendly, and her home is truly a gem.

The house was clean and well kept. It was alovely home away from home and within walking distance from the beach. Will definitely recommend 👌🏻

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

Clare was an amazing host and her home a perfect stay. Beautiful views and intimate setting to enjoy quality time with friends and family. Indoor and outdoor braais, many bedrooms and a lovely terrace area. Everything was clean and read for us on arrival. I can't recommend it enough!

We really enjoyed our stay at Van As and Marianna's place. It exceeded all our expectations, and everything looked even nicer than in the pictures. The view of the ocean is beautiful, and we even spotted adorable penguins in the yard. The muffins left for us on the table were delicious! Marianna and Van As are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind hosts. We highly recommend this Airbnb!

We had such an incredible stay at Rene's place! Great location, clean, and really kind and helpful host. We loved the outdoor shower! Walking distance to the rock pools and beach and a short drive to Hermanus and the town. We can't wait to come back to visit.

Bit of a back story - we got married in Hermanus 30 years ago yesterday (30/4/95) at St Peters and had the reception at Beintangs se grot and we had our honeymoon at Smits - we were the first to use the house after we had bought it. We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

Kyle’s place is absolutely incredible! The views alone are worth the stay—truly breathtaking. The house itself is spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Everything was fresh and inviting, from the clean linens to the lovely scent throughout the home. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, which made our stay even more comfortable. Kyle was an outstanding host—extremely responsive and helpful, always quick to reply to any questions we had. We genuinely wish we had a couple more days to soak in both the house and the charm of Hermanus. Without a doubt, we 100% recommend Kyle’s place to anyone planning a trip to Hermanus!

Hanlie's place was an amazing place to stay. I had never stayed at a cleaner Airbnb before until now. Hanlie was always on hand if I needed any help, she recommended a lot of restaurants/things to do. Plenty of immenties, change of bedsheets and towels for longer stays much better than hotels. Hanlie and her husband were great listeners and we had good conversions. I would definitely recommend this place and I would stay again. 🙂

Serina and her husband were lovely hosts, kind and friendly. The room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. It was peaceful and easy to access. Onrus is a good place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Hermanus. It has a lovely beach and a few good restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed staying with Serina and would love to return.

The cottage was fantastic, beautiful setting with great privacy. You have a whole dam to yourself, walk in the vineyards, relax in the wood fire hot tub under the stars. No complaints, but do not plan to cook a lot of meals, the kitchen is small and washup area, we lit a braai outside and that was perfect. Definitely would recommend and return.

The cottage was private and plenty of outside space for our beach toys and dogs.

Philip was such a gratious host! We felt right at home end relaxed, because this house has everything. We didn't want for anything. Philip even lent us canoes, life jackets for the kids, etc to enjoy some water sport in the lagoon. The kids played outside for hours! We'll definitely be coming back. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Lovely location, remote enough for nature lovers but just 15min from Gansbaai for groceries, etc. Plenty of scenic walks for all fitness levels, multiple swimming spots, nearby Lomond wine farm has great MTB trails. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, the covered outdoor seating area with braai is a relaxing vibe. Would revisit for sure.

This was our second time staying here. We love it. Great location. Lots of entertainment for the kids. Alex a fantastic efficient host. We will definitely be back.

Gull's nest is a lovely spot. Bass lake is an amazing place for a swim with lovely views and an expanse of open water. Unexpected and a definite favorite from our visit.

The house is situated in a very picturesque part of Betty's Bay, close walking distance to the main shops and Bass dam, and close to the beach by car (5 min max). The house itself is spacious, secure and the bedrooms are private. The amenities are as advertised and we were quite happy to hang out at the house, as well as go outdoors into the surroundings. Our host, An-Mari was very hands on and available for help when required. Her instructions were clear. We highly recommend the cottage for your trip to Betty's Bay and surroundings.
