“We had an absolutely amazing time in Helen's shepherds hut. The hut itself was so cosy, and felt inviting and spacious with all the bits you need for your stay. But what made the stay truly outstanding is the wonderful garden around the hut, and the view over the adjoining fields from the hammock next to it. there is also a lovely "man shed" with a woodturner and table for the evening. And did I mention the chickens? They were the highlight of the visit for my little 5 year old. I have travelled far and wide, but this is without doubt one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in (and it was my first time "camping").”

“This is a lovely house in a very special spot. There was a thoughtful box of provisions when we arrived (milk, bread, croissant, crumpets, butter, jam) and the house had plenty of the basics like hand soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, oil, vinegar, s&p etc as well as shampoo and conditioner! The house was lovely and clean and the beds were comfortable. The views are divine, we saw deer, rabbits and hares! Great spot to unwind. Communications were easy and the house keeper who checked us in was very helpful, returning without hesitation to iron out some issues. There is an inside outside pool feature to be aware of if you have a toddler.”

“We had a fab stay at Craig's place for my 30th birthday party. We were a group of 11 and we all fit in very comfortably. The kitchen and dining room are fully stocked with all of the essentials are needed for large parties. Craig was very helpful with local recommendations, and he stays in the private apartment upstairs in the property so is on hand if needed. We would have benefited from a living room, but the size of the kitchen and dining room made up for it. I would very much recommend Colthrop Manor.”
