Desde que reservamos la estancia nos envió toda la información de como llegar al edificio, sitios para visitar, restaurantes, transporte..Es una persona muy amable y atenta, hablaba un poquito de español así que nos entendimos perfectamente. Si volvemos algún día volveríamos a su apartamento.

We are very glad that we chose this place to stay in Osaka. It is close to Shin-Osaka and closer to another Metro station. The host was very friendly and helpful. I am definitely recommending the place to everyone staying in Osaka!

The place is lovely and you get to meet a not-so-crowded area of Kyoto. There are public parks, temples, shrines, and restaurants nearby. The closes train/metro is 1,7km away so if you are a fast walker or you just rent a luup or kotobike that’s the quickest way to get downtown. Else you have lots of bus stops nearby, they just take a bit longer. Best for long stays, not so much for people in a rush.

I had an absolutely amazing stay here. It’s a little out of the way from the main touristy areas in Kyoto, but it was actually quite amazing to be in the north part. Lots of restaurants nearby, and you’ll be close to the mountain areas to explore all the amazing views and temples here. And aside from the location and cozy stay, the hosts were so amazing and welcoming. Always ready to help and support their guests - can’t thank them enough for a great experience in Kyoto!

The area is in a quiet neighbourhood. It may take a bit of time to go to Central areas like Gion. However, this is exactly what I would like to come back to after a long day outside - peace. The neighbourhood also has a lot of things to do a see, all walkable distance. Plenty of options for convenient stores and restaurants too.

Ken was on of the most accommodating, friendly and helpful hosts we have met. In addition to the basics amenities, we enjoyed having a deck off the back of our unit with a table and chairs. We loved having breakfast outside while watching the birds over the river. We had easy access to the walking and biking paths on both sides of the river as well as many restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the location. Even though we were traveling during Golden Week, it was quiet at night and not crowded in the vicinity. Ken helped make our first trip to Kyoto (and Japan) a joy!

I had an absolutely wonderful time. I spend a couple of weeks in the apartment and it really did feel like a home, not just a resting place on Holliday. whenever I had questions, I got a response almost always right away. communication, in person or through the app, was always super friendly and helpful. when i wasn't sure which metro to take, I got a very detailed description of where to go. including a time table. which is just one of the many ways that I was helped during my stay. the song recommendations and cute cat videos made the stay more fun. I loved watching them while I was in the bus. the place was peaceful, which was important for me. there is a bus right in front of the building and 2 other lines within 10min walking. no matter where in Kyoto I had to go, there was always easy transport closeby. all in all I had a wonderful time. not just because of Kyoto, but also because of the apartment and host. I will definitely go back there if/when I have the chance.

Spacious, pretty, traditional apartment with great amenities. Extremely nice, helpful, accommodating host. Good access to public transportation , close to downtown and many Kyoto sights. Highly recommended!

Maison magnifique. Expérience magique. Tout était parfait. L'hôte est réactif et très sympathique. La maison se situe dans un petit quartier du nord de Kyoto, dans une ambiance de petit village. Prévoir un changement de métro pour aller au centre-ville et un peu loin de l'ouest de la ville où il y'a beaucoup de choses à voir mais ça n'a absolument pas été un problème pour nous car il y a tant de choses à voir autour de la maison, loin des lieux où il y a trop de touristes ! Les temples à côté de la maison sont sublimes et à quelques pas. Des commerces pas loin et également très proche du temple de Kurama et du village d'Ohara à visiter absolument. N'hésitez pas.

房子在一片安静的住宅区里，非常宽敞，同样价钱是京都酒店的5-6倍大，每天清晨都有好听的鸟鸣，院子很漂亮，房东姐姐还主动送我们去火车站，有求必应，特别温柔的，父母也很喜欢房间和环境，附近的母婴店药妆店比市区好逛太多，下次还去！

We stayed here for 4 days and walked to the bamboo Forrest every day. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station which was convenient for traveling to other sites around Kyoto. We would stay here again.

Mulan’s accommodation was perfect — we were happy to sleep on the tatami mats with our children. The place is very clean and welcoming. It was cold in the morning when we woke up, but we were warm and cozy under the thick comforters during the night. The bathroom is quite basic but very practical. The water is nice and hot, with great pressure. Communication with the host was very easy. They kindly drove us to the Golden Pavilion and then to the Silver Pavilion. They were very accommodating and helpful. They also dropped us off at the station so we could catch our train from Kyoto Station. The location is about 20 minutes by subway from Kyoto, and we enjoyed staying in such a peaceful residential neighborhood. There’s a FamilyMart on the street and a little place where we had some delicious pastries!

Haruka's apartment is situated very near Saiin-Station (5min walk) and its restaurants in a quite street. There is a supermarket 4min walk in the other direction. It is big with 2 bedrooms, a great bathroom, a washing-machine and everything you can need to cook in the tiny kitchen as well as spices, oil, tea, coffee... There are also brochures about Kyoto's attractions and a very interesting book about Japan's history. The best part of our stay at Haruka's House was to meet the owners (they live upstairs), who welcomed us as we arrived with many informations, japanese tea, fruits an sweats. As we left, the had looked for the train-connexions to our next destination and gave us nice advices as well as crackers for the trip. It was so nice, we felt at home from the first minute and we enjoyed so much their company. We even had the chance to borrow their bicycles to tour around Kyoto. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We definitely hope to come back!!!

Our stay at Yamashita’s beautiful 100-year-old Japanese villa in Kyoto was the perfect way to end our 2 week vacation in Japan. The house is spacious, very clean, and well-equipped, perfect for our group of 12. It has everything you need and more. It has a serene garden, jacuzzi, and sauna—the kids especially loved the jacuzzi! Yamashita is an EXCEPTIONAL host—very warm, helpful, and accommodating. She drove us to supermarkets and places we wanted to go and even picked us up for a small fee. She prepared simple yet delicious breakfasts. She was quick to respond to messages and even guided us on using local buses. Though the house is a bit far from the touristy areas, the peace and quiet of Yamashita’s home made it the perfect retreat. It offered a more authentic and relaxing experience of Japan. I highly recommend Yamashita’s villa to anyone looking for comfort, culture, and outstanding hospitality. And to anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in a traditional Japanese home.

Really enjoyed our stay in this cosy charming home which has a traditional feel just what we wanted to experience in Kyoto. The host was extremely thoughtful in providing above and beyond the basics such as milk, snacks, lovely coffee tea etc. We felt so comfortable right at home. We especially enjoyed the little courtyard garden with beautiful blossoms. Thank you so much! 😊
