Cabin vacation rentals in Highland Lake

I didn't write much on the review prompts because it just wasn't needed. Jessica is a great host and the place doesn't feel like a hotel in disguise, it felt like a great place to make new memories. We're grateful for the warm ones we left with.

Great cabin stay! It felt like we were staying at a friend's family cabin, nice and cozy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was great and covered, which made it nice to use on the days it rained while we were there. The location is exactly what we were looking for, very private feeling but easy to get to towns nearby.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful cabin in Vermont! We were there for a birthday getaway and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and the cabin was cozy, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. We made a lot of home-cooked meals in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed relaxing evenings in the hot tub — definitely a highlight! Every detail, from the comfortable beds to the thoughtful amenities, made our stay feel special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable escape!

This is a wonderful, peaceful cabin! We so appreciate Wendi’s attention to detail. The whole design was tastefully done. The hot tub was perfect! You get the feeling of cabin in the woods but in a luxurious way. My husband and I had the perfect getaway weekend!

The perfect place for our family’s ski trip. The cabin is exactly what you picture for a winter VT trip. Charming log cabin with a wood burning stove, but with all the modern comforts. We were only 5 minutes from Okemo and the hot tub was amazing after long ski days. Locked ski locker on the porch was convenient. Great kitchen so we could cook breakfast and hit the slopes early. The host gave clear instructions and lots of helpful recommendations - very friendly and quick to respond. Fire wood and log starters made the cabin cozy at night. Despite all the snow, the driveway was well plowed. It’s a quiet dead end road without traffic. We will definitely be back!

This little cabin is adorable. Sitting in the hot tub watching the snow fall is so peaceful, the property is just gorgeous. Sean is a great host, would definitely recommend.

My wife and I were looking to have a lazy staycation and this was the perfect setting. Not too far from town either. Check in couldn’t have been easier, the host was super responsive and friendly. The cabin was gorgeous and cozy, lots of cute touches that made it feel like home. We loved using the fireplace when it got chilly and the hot tub was a huge bonus. All in all, it was an incredible stay and experience and we are already talking about visiting again in the winter when it’s snowy.

I had a comfortable stay at the Boulder Cabin. It felt like a luxurious, modern experience right in the middle of nature with plenty of supporting business' a short drive away. Thoughtful touches throughout that make being away from home a very worthwhile experience. I felt very supported while I was there and fortunate to experience the beauty of surroundings. Daily walks around the pond, leading to a waterfall, covered bridge, ducks, gardens; it was an unexpected perk that made this experience one to remember.

Where to start, such a beautiful location, amazing views from every angle. Kathleen you have created the perfect little cottage, it feels secluded yet close to everything. Very convenient location, everything seems like it's a 10 to 15 minute drive, activities, grocery or just somewhere to be at peace. One of my favorite things was the five minute drive to the local CO-OP, it was such a change up to feel so involved with the local foods and produce provided, here from the Massachusetts south shore its something that we do not get a chance to experiance. Me and my girlfriend came for our anniversary and I'm not sure it couldve been anything less than perfect. Every single thing about the location, the ammenities, the activites, even Kathleen could not have been more transparent, she was very responsive during the booking proccess and more when we were on location, she stressed that if we needed anything to let her know. This is without a doubt somewhere that we are going to stay again.

We had a wonderful weekend at Marty's cabin. The cabin was very cozy, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, watched the birds at the feeders and went into Woodstock and beyond for an afternoon adventure. It was so nice to be in a place that was so warm and well cared for. This house was the perfect place to "unplug" and recharge. We will definitely be back again!

Second time staying at her place!! We love it, felt like home!

This was probably the fourth or fifth time we stayed at Denis' cottage, and it was as great as ever before. We are looking forward to our next visit.

This was our second stay at this house, we were here last winter as well. The house is great and very convenient location. We prefer Jackson Gore to start and that's very easy to get to from the house. Kitchen was perfect and the plow came to the care is the snow shortly before we left for the slopes when it snowed overnight. As before, the kids really love hanging out on the loft space!!

Gorgeous spot! We loved everything about the cabin, from the cozy, beautifully furnished and decorated living area, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the cool maps on all the walls! It was a chilly weekend in Sunapee, but we even managed to soak up some sun on the chairs outside. This was the best place for a homey staycation with good friends -- we had everything we needed and felt right at home here in these lovely, peaceful, private digs that make you feel like you're in the middle of the forest (but still only about a 25 minute walk from cute town, plus Cara has a ton recommendations if you're looking for something to do). We will definitely stay here next time we visit NH!

We had a great time at Molly's cabin. We were looking for a quiet stay and we had that. Lots of walking and hiking. The cabin was just as described snd Molly was a fantastic host. Thank you Molly!

Mark and Claudia were fantastic hosts. We had some unusual weather conditions during our trip and they were super responsive and helpful during it all! The place is beautifully designed as well. We enjoyed our stay even with the weather and would definitely come back.

Stephanie’s cabin is a perfect secluded getaway in the middle of the woods. Nobody else uses the road the cabin is on, and it’s very quiet and peaceful there. The only noises you hear are the rustling of chipmunks surrounding the cabin, You might be visited by a gaggle of turkeys, they left some of their feathers at the front door. Other than that the cabin is also nice inside with basic amenities and electricity. Tv with some classic dvds and some board games. There is no insulation but two heaters if you don’t mind the cold. Overall a great getaway.

Wonderful private location in the woods. Lots of nearby hiking trails, excellent restaurants within an easy drive. The interior was spotless, well maintained, the beds super comfortable and the cozy cabin full of all the amenities you could want. Complete with Easter treats ! Will definitely be back.

My daughters and I loved the cozy cabin! It had everything we needed and more. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! The owners were very thoughtful and even plowed the driveway extra early so we wouldn’t have any trouble driving up to the cottage. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of Heaven with us!

We had such a lovely stay for my birthday weekend. Jonathan’s place was exactly as described. A great way to escape the city! Had a nice guide to the house with instructions on how to light the fireplace and work certain things around the house. Such a beautiful and peaceful stay!

Had a great stay at this cabin for an overnight ski trip to Mt. Sunapee, a short drive away. The host was quick to respond when I needed help checking in. Plenty of space for 3 of us.

We had a wonderful stay; this was the perfect launching spot to get to several different ski areas. The kitchen is well equipped so we were easily able to cook meals. We also loved the wood stove, the cosy seating, and the comfortable beds. We would definitely come back!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The place was absolutely clean, and stocked with the most thoughtful touches—snacks, a bottle of wine, lux soaps and lotions, a wonderful selection of coffee and teas (one day tried the Keurig, next tried the Nespresso). The pillows/beds were perfect! And can we talk about the KILLER hair dryer?! Every detail was so well thought out. If you’re looking for a place that goes above and beyond, this is it. While I couldn’t ski due to a recent ACL surgery, I spent the entire weekend here while my family hit the slopes—and it was bliss. Cozy, peaceful, and just minutes from the mountain for easy drop-offs and pick-ups. I’m already excited about coming back in the summer and fall to experience the lake in a whole new way. And a HUGE thank you to the incredible host for the kindness and generosity in letting me check out late due to my injury—it meant so much tome and my family. Honestly, the 5-star rating doesn’t do it justice… this place is a 10 star gem.
