Hawthorne is a 2-hour drive from NYC or a 2-hour Amtrak ride from Penn Station to Hudson, and then a 20 minute drive by car or taxi. The house is conveniently close to the Taconic Parkway, while set in a peaceful and quiet valley.

This is the perfect country getaway in a serene wooded setting yet close to town. Great for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). A large deck and yard provide great views of the outdoors. This house is privately set but only a short walk to an inviting shared swim pond, meadow & trails. We are located on U.S. Route 9. It is a well traveled, main road but close to everything! It is peaceful but not quiet. For nature lovers, explore the area with hikes on local trails or on a kayak down the river. We are 5miles from the Hudson River Skywalk, Olana and Thomas Cole. We are 3.9miles to Warren Street where you can enjoy a full day of shopping, spa and food. The Catskills has much to offer. The cottage is in the perfect area to enjoy it all year round!

Welcome to "The Tiny" at The Hemptons in the Hudson Valley. The not-so-tiny house is 400sf with plenty of space to stretch out. Each of the two bedroom lofts have a comfy queen bed on a low profile frame. The kitchen is equipped for basic cooking (read: Not good for Thanksgiving, but perfectly suited for standard cooking endeavors). Regretfully, we are unable to accommodate service animals due to the health risk it poses it the owners.

Rustic, peaceful and affordable cabin

This cabin is in a lovely, peaceful setting. Cozy and private, it has enough room for a big family gathering. The cabin has almost 10 acres of privacy (but with next door neighbors in sight) and lots of outdoor space, but is very close to all of the Berkshires attractions. Skiing at Catamount and Butternut, hiking at Bash Bish and Mount Greylock, biking and swimming at Taconic State Park and its rail trail all close by.
