“We had a great time staying at Keith’s place! Easy check-in. Keith was super friendly and quick to respond. Wonderful location, view is spectacular. The cottage is really nice - comfortable and well equipped. We loved the bug tent. We would definitely come back and recommend Keith’s place :)”
Nestled in the Haliburton Highlands, Stone House Cottages offers a relaxing retreat for family and friends to reconnect. Our cottages feature cozy, rustic accommodations and amenities to make your stay enjoyable! We believe guests should have an opportunity to escape from the hustle and bustle and connect back with nature and with the loved ones they are staying with. Due to this, our cottages do not have WiFi or Satellite TV. There is however, a TV and DVD player provided.
“The Sugar Shack Cabin is a wonderful space for a quiet retreat into nature. This stay made for one of our best Airbnb trips, we don’t have enough good things to say; the cabin was absolutely spotless when we showed up, and filled with thoughtful touches that made the place feel like home. There are trails surrounding the cabin that could not be any cooler, giving off major Narnia vibes. Sara even came out and asked about our stay, and brought us her bird book which GREATLY assisted in our birdwatching haha. Already looking forward to our next visit at the sugar shack”
Family cottage on a huge private, flat double lot boasting 175’ of Water frontage. This place is right on the river, completely private and amazing in the Summer months. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Summer heat with a way to cool down right on the property. The town of Minden is right around the corner for groceries, snacks, ice cream and anything you need. Floating down the Gull River takes you to the peaceful, serene Gull Lake for tubing, boating and water activities.
“We had such a wonderful and relaxing time at Rob’s place in Minden. I booked it for myself, my two teenage daughters and their friend because it looked like a homely, restful place to stay for a few days after travelling around quite a bit, doing one night stays at other Airbnb’s. It offered what we needed and so much more. The Gull river runs past the bottom of the property and you can go up stream and ‘float’ along a long stretch of the river back to the property. Rob was very generous in allowing us to use their inflatables. It was such a great and fun thing to do. It was wonderful to sit out on the jetty listening to and watching the wildlife. Very fortunate on our last day to be visited by a large, snapping turtle. Check in instructions were very clear, with pictures, so although it’s quite tucked away, it wasn’t a problem to find. It is co hosted by Cathy who was so thoughtful in recommending places that we might like and both Rob and Cathy responded quickly and patiently - I asked a lot of questions!!! Good WiFi connection for all the teenagers. Great home from home kitchen so was able to cook. Hard to leave really. We are all missing the place.”
