“Henrik’s place was very nice and equipped with everything needed to enjoy your stay. It is a 5min walk to the ferry terminal where you can enjoy taking a boat to go on an island. I recommend Henrik place even if travelling with a small infant.”

“Great summer cottage on a nice island of Rosala. Friendly people across the island. Just couple of details to pay attention to, mostly specific for mid-fall (around 18 October) stay: (i) Lots of deers crossing the roads when you drive around the island = stay very alert. (ii) No fish for us (pike, perch, pike-perch etc.), and after talking with couple of locals the conclusion is: better to buy some fish from supermarkets on previous island/ on continent, before taking the ferry (the shop on the bridge-connected island of Hiittinen has very limited offering on anything). (iii) Water is quite cold, so better have proper "rescue clothing" if taking the (relatively small) rowing boat for a longer trip (we took a 3 hour trip, while aiming to stay mostly with 150 meter swimming distance from ashore, in case any issues with the boat)”
A cozy cottage in a traditional Finnish style. The cottage can easily fit 6 persons and offers a large yard and a surrounding of natural beauty. Use the wooden stoves for a natural experience or the modern equipment for complete comfort. The sea is at a small strolls distance from the cottage.
“I stayed at Birgitta's place for a few days while working in the area. Finding the place was easy enough, and the check-in worked very well. The lovely traditional Finnish house is equipped with a big yard with apple trees and a large lawn. The house itself has a lovely well-equipped kitchen, a living room with a fire place, and bathroom with a shower. In the basement there is also an electric sauna and a changing room and shower: I particularly enjoyed the sauna in the late summer evenings. The fire place in the living room was also a big plus, as it made the house very cozy when the evenings were already getting colder. As I stayed by myself I only really used the bottom floor of the house, but there is definitely plenty of room for a larger party or family to stay, as there are more places to sleep upstairs. Due to my own mistake I had not realised that I should have requested the internet modem ahead of time, so there was no internet access when I arrived on Friday. However, this issue was swiftly resolved through a few messages with Tommy (Birgitta's son), and a few hours later I received the modem from his nephew. I was particularly grateful for this, given that it was Friday evening and the issue was due to my own oversight. Birgitta's house is a lovely place to stay when visiting the island. It is in the countryside, so great for exploring the nature in the area, but you also find grocery shops in the Kimito/Kemiö center, and in one hour you can drive into Turku. The house is lovely and homey, and the hospitality was outstanding. I can truly recommend the house for anyone looking for a relaxing, peaceful stay in the area.”
