PET FRIENDLY with prior approval from host! My place is just off I -40 in the little community of Happy Holbrook Arizona with Historic Route 66 running right through downtown. This is a great location if you are visiting area national parks and monuments; Petrified Forest National Park; Canyon De Chelley NM; Walnut Canyon NM; Sunset Crater NM; Waputki NM; Meteor Crater Natural Landmark; Grand Canyon National Park! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers!
“Very homey space in great proximity to the Petrified Forest National Park. Kip has wonderful insights for the park and the local attractions. Would love to stay here again!”
The Bunkhouse, was actually a bunkhouse for cowboys in the 40's & 50's when this property was a working ranch. We have tried to bring back the old west feel. Free to the public Native American dances will begin in June. Close to downtown. You can walk to grocery, restaurants, parks, etc. PLEASE NOTE: We are taking Extra precautions to insure the Bunkhouse is clean and safe for your stay. Judy
“The best cowboy "bunkhouse" experience on famous Route 66 and gateway to Petrified Forest National Park! Judy's personal western decorating touches, kitchen amenities, and character of the property make this stay fantastic! Exactly as portrayed in online photos and description - a great value and pet friendly - well equipped kitchen, two full size beds, plus guidebooks of local sights and history. We have told all our friends about the "Bunkhouse." We'll be back, too!”
Holbrook is a charming town in the heart of Route 66. My family has lived here our whole lives and love our town. We have a two story home with with a birds eye view of Holbrook and The historic Wigwam Hotel that was the inspiration for the Cozy Cone Motel in Disney’s Cars movie. The downstairs is for our guests and is comfortable, cozy and clean. We are 20 minutes to a four hour drive to The Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Four Corners National Monument, Sedona and much more
“Absolutely perfect Airbnb rental. Hostess was very generous in her hospitality. There was fresh milk, bagels, bread, coffee, tea, cream cheese, peanut butter, boxes of cereal for the kids. The place was immaculate, cozy, clean linens, shampoo and conditioner, and much more. Upon awakening in the morning the view is beautiful. She has birdfeeders everywhere and there was birds all over the place. You could see the train but barely hear it. You could see the freeway but barely hear it. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stop and stay for the night on our road trip.”
