The cabin is located at Krokskogen, an area in Nordmarka, an hour drive north west of Oslo. Krokskogen is well known for its mystic nature and bewitching atmosphere, and wonderful hiking and skiing opportunities.
“It is a very nice place and we really enjoyed our stay. It's a basic cabin but it has all you need. The common area is quite big and well planned out with a nice kitchen area. There are plenty of boardgames and some toys that our son really enjoyed. The fireplace works super good and keeps the cabin warm and cosy during the short and cold winter days. There are no other lights than candles and the fireplace, so be prepared for some darkness if you visit the cabin during the dark winter days in Norway. The cabin is located in a very nice area with lots of hiking possibilities and a DNT hut close by. The exact spot the cabin is in is not super idyllic (some other cabins as neighbours and pretty close to the very quiet road) but still serves to give you the feeling you're in the middle of the forest.”
Situated at the lake Steinsfjorden/Tyrifjorden, 35 minutes drive from Oslo, only separated from the lake by the main road to Bergen. Thus, there is traffic noice. The area is perfect for hiking, skiing, swimming, paragliding, mushroom picking and fishing for pike or trout. 18 wholes golf court 5 minutes away. Perfect for cross country skiing. Best place for downhill skiing is Norefjell or Oslo Winterpark. The house itself is spacy, with terrasses and a big garden, lots of privacy. Fireplace.
“Just returned from three nights at Lise's place. Check in was really easy, very clear instructions, and Lise was very quick to respond to any messages. She was also extremely accomodating to our plans. The house is so lovely; was really warm and cosy when we arrived, so much space for us and our three children. Very homely, amazing views. Really well located for travelling into Oslo. If anyone is thinking of doing this, you can park for free at Gjonnes station about 30 mins away, and get the metro, less than 20 mins journey. Easier and cheaper than driving right into the city. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here, in a country that has a reputation for being expensive, it represents amazing value for money. Thanks Lise!”
A nice apartment close to Oslo, but far enough away to appreciate some of Norways nice nature. The apartment has a nice kitchen, bathroom and a separate bedroom, that also has a sofa and TV if you want to relax after a long day outside. A fully equipt apartment makes it easy for you to come and stay without planning much ahead. Perfect for couples, but also nice for small families (3-4 persons).
