A house in the fields

The house stands alone in a sea of fields, swept by the wind, in a large perennial garden. With the help of many fellow artists and friends, this formerly unspectacular guesthouse from the 1990s was renovated and refurbished, and a garden was created with the help of landscape designer Rainer Elstermann. Through continuous growth and change, an idyllic place has emerged – and continues to emerge – that can accommodate 10 people in the guest area and 8 people in the studio area, which is mainly used privately.

In the Mecklenburg Lake District, there are an incredible number of great lakes and you can go cycling & hiking. Blankensee/Meckl. even has a train station.

By bike or on foot you are at the lake in 15 minutes. The old building apartment is freshly renovated, and we have lovingly brought back details of the half-timbered house such as the old floorboards and beams. Located directly on Lake Tollensee (a few minutes' walk away), which, with its clear water, invites you to swim or go stand-up paddling. Or to beautiful bike rides about 35 km around the lake. The location between Neustrelitz and Neubrandenburg gives many opportunities for shopping or visiting restaurants.
