Nestled in the back garden of our 15th Century Cottage in a rural village, at the end of a no-through road, guests are assured of a peaceful and quiet stay. Yet with Devizes just 3 miles away, you are close enough to enjoy the bustle of this Market Town and its many interesting Coffee Shops, Restaurants and Pubs. We are situated on the edge of the Pewsey Vale and within easy access of Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge and Marlborough.
“The Annex was exactly as described, super clean and very comfy bed! Cheryl left cute touches such as some flapjack's & bananas which were great fuel for our run the following day. She was very fast at replying and met us on arrival. Good location & great pub recommendation as well!”
The property is a stunning self-contained thatched barn, with a south facing aspect and beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. It has been newly refurbished with a stylish modern interior and is set in a quiet country lane in the peaceful village of West Overton, three miles from the medieval market town of Marlborough and on the doorstep of the famous Neolithic sites of Avebury, Silbury Hill and the Kennet Longbarrow.
“This lovely cottage is located in a perfect location for exploring the local area. The cottage is sparkling clean and is such a lovely place to chill and relax. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need.. Comfy bed with lovely linen and the cottage was cosy and warm even through the storms we had whilst we were there! Was great having local walks and maps..recommend Pewsey Down and we walked to Avebury from the cottage. Will definitely return here if in the area again and would recommend to friends and family.”
Pewsey is situated between Stonehenge and Avebury and we are only 7 minutes walk from the railway station amid a wealth of outstanding countryside. Shops and restaurants all within walking distance in fact a car is not at all essential to your stay. Our little artists hideaway is a unique space full of quirky artworks in a garden of sculptures. It is very comfortable, warm and private and has easy access to all the amenities of the village.
“I loved this quirky studio which is very quiet and private. It was warm and cosy; the bed was comfy and the bed linen top quality; the en suite was sparkling clean, the shower was hot and easy to control; the eggs for breakfast were top of the range, just wonderful! I was there for a short break and found the location ideal. I didn’t want to eat out in the evenings (though there are plenty of recommendations) so was pleased to find that the supermarket was not far away. Pewsey is an interesting place and the countryside around is great for walking. I don’t have a car but the station was just a short walk from the property. So all in all perfect location. Lucy is a lovely host, very friendly and welcoming.”
