Hi The camper is open for the season. we would prefer a 2 night minimum on weekends (fri/sat or sat/sun this year. The space is a clean and disinfected! 26 ft. travel trailer on it' own campsite, a view of a horse farm. The campsite is shaded with an awning complete with an outdoor fireplace, table and chairs. Propane BBQ also, all kitchen wares, fresh bedding, AC, heat, water, electric, refrigerator and bath in the trailer. Friendly dogs are welcome upon approval after discussion. Thanks
“Eric’s place is just what you would expect, in a beautiful, peaceful area. We loved waking up with the horses neighing, drinking coffee with only the sounds of the birds singing. He is a true gentleman and the fresh eggs, coffee and s’mores made you feel like you’re home. The camper has everything you need but most of your time you will spend it on the outdoor area, napping on the hammock or grilling food or making a firepit. If you love hiking there are tons of places around, especially one closer to camper (at the end of the road) where you can lay down on the grass and watch the sunset in peace! our dog after this experience is not a city dog anymore ahah. If you don’t drive like us the train station is a 10 mins ride away. To move around remember that the signal is not strong (no wifi) and there are not many uber/lyft available, so try to call it in advance (15-20 mins earlier) and you’ll be all set. We will be back! Thank you again for the hospitality.”
Relax and enjoy your stay in a bright, modern cottage with windows overlooking the river and a wraparound deck. Whether you are looking to relax along the river, explore Hyde Park historic properties or discover the incredible natural beauty of the Hudson Valley, this cottage is an ideal escape.
“This cottage was in a truly phenomenal setting. Once my husband and I walked in, we right there & then decided to not leave again until it was time to check out... we just starred at the Hudson... whether in bed, at the dining table, or on the deck... it was mesmerizing and just what we needed. One night in particular offered a truly spectacular sunset! And we did end up going out for one afternoon of exploring the grounds of Eleanor Roosevelt's home & the Vanderbilt Mansion... both wonderful. A huge thanks to Jim who was super accommodating, responsive, and welcoming throughout. We had a lovely time and can't wait to return!!”
Built over 100 years ago as a chicken hatchery, this gorgeous little gem has been fully restored as a two-story guest cottage. Located in New Paltz just minutes off Exit 18 on I-87 in a very private, quiet, country setting. Only ten minutes from New Paltz Village & SUNY New Paltz and set back on a lightly traveled road for those long summer strolls. You don't even need a car to get here! It's just 12 minutes by taxi from the New Paltz Bus Station or bring your bike up and cycle everywhere!
“The cottage is perfect if you’re looking for a little R&R. It’s secluded enough to have peace and quiet but a short trip into New Paltz if you want to grab a bite to eat. My husband and I are about to have our third child so we spent most of the time lounging in bed watching TV and relaxing on the cute porch. If we ever get the opportunity to have a kid free weekend, we would def stay here again!”
