Vacation rentals with lake access in Hungary

We had an amazing stay at Eva’s place with our family! The house was spotless and had everything we could possibly need, from a fully equipped kitchen to comfortable living spaces. The kids absolutely loved the selection of toys, which kept them entertained throughout our stay, and the big garden was a perfect spot for them to run around and enjoy the outdoors. The location was fantastic as well—everything we needed was close by, from shops to parks, making it super convenient for our family. Eva was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this place for anyone traveling with kids or looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway.

Great house with lots of amenities in quiet area about 40 minutes to Budapest. We stayed in off-season so lots of things nearby closed but not a problem. Zsolt is a very gracious host, he actually met us to show us around and he was very quick to answer questions and to help out. Thanks so much for a great stay!

Gorgeous few days right on the water in beautiful Balaton. Very comfortable house and garden right on the lake. We enjoyed wading out in the lake with our child. The lake is very shallow (around 3ft) for over 100 meters so you can walk out very far on the mud/sand. I would definitely recommend renting/bringing Stand Up Paddle Boards or an inflatable boat so that you can get out to where the lake is deeper to swim. At the moment, these are not provided by the host. There had been a recent invasion of buzzing non-biting midges (Chironomidae/greenish insects) along the shores of Lake Balaton but they only really came out just after sunset and were fascinating to watch. Incredibly relaxing to wake up and have coffee on the dock. 5 star stay!

Es ist eine tolle Wohnung. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und stets erreichbar. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die einzige Kritik ist die Hellhörigkeit. Wir würden dennoch gern wieder dort buchen.

It is a wonderful accomodation, very close to the lakeside with every facility you would need. The house was very clean, Daniel was very helpful and responded quickly. We will be back definitely!

Minden patyolat tiszta, új bútorok, kényelmes ágy, minden szükséges dologgal felszerelve, a házigazda nagyon kedves, rugalmas az érkezési időt illetően, reggel kávét és reggelit is ajánlott, imádtam.

Yvett and Henry’s flat was lovely. Much better than expected for what we paid, and just as advertised. Included useful cooking and cleaning items so we were able to get settled quickly, and flexible check-in allowed us to arrive safely and easily from our late flight. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and excellent value for money. The hosts were also lovely and extremely quick with responses. We would absolutely stay at this Airbnb again.

Wir haben uns in der sehr geräumigen und gemütlichen Wohnung sofort wohl gefühlt! Von Detti haben wir super Anweisungen erhalten und konnten zu Fuss und mit der Metro alles schnell erreichen :) Würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Nadiya & Antonia’s place was lovely, quiet and a great location (not in the middle of nowhere but not in the busy, loud areas). They always responded super quickly to any queries and were extremely accommodating. I would highly recommend this air BnB. Thank you so much 😊

Outstanding location right by the beach and numerous restaurants; however, the condo is over 2 kilometers away from the train station. Likewise, the nearest grocery store is over a kilometer walk uphill. However, there is a bus stop close by. The beds were not very comfortable, especially the pull-out bed. Some important kitchen supplies were missing - such as a cutting board. The balcony is large with lots of shade, which makes for a nice outdoor dining experience. The condo offers some smart technology features to include remote control blinds. The host was responsive with all communications in English. If you are a beach lover wanting a quiet location at night, this condo is an excellent choice.

Close to metro stop and on/off bus tour stop. Many good restaurants and attractions in walking distance of about 1 mile.

Super Lage, sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin

A szállás mindenben megfelelt a leírtaknak, nagyon szívesen vissza térnénk máskor is! Nagyon sok apróságnak tűnő figyelmességet tapasztalatunk, melyet más szállásoknál nem.

Ich muss sagen, es war der beste Urlaub, welchen wir je über Airbnb gebucht haben. Der private Teich ist etwas ganz Besonderes, was wir auch jeden Tag genutzt haben. Zusätzlich gibt es noch einen richtigen Pool. Als besonders empfand ich auch die Herde von Schafen auf den Nachbargrundstück, welche man streicheln konnte. Weiterhin befinden sich 4 Katzen auf den Grundstück, sodass wenn man Kinder hat, immer gerade eine zum spielen vorbeikommt. Sehr gute ungarische Restaurants befinden sich in der Nähe, welche ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis haben. Die Gastgeber Susann, Othmar und Tibor sind super nett, kennen sich aus und versuchen alles möglich zu machen. Ich empfehle eine Fahrt mit der Kutsche organisieren zu lassen. Hier wird man von einer Einheimischen durch Wälder geführt und die Kinder dürfen sogar selbst lenken. Im Gesamten kann ich die Gastgeber und das Objekt nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Haus hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Ich würde sogar sagen, dass es innen moderner ist als auf den Fotos. Auch gab es viele kleine Details, die uns gefreut haben. Wir hatten zu viert sehr viel Platz: die Eltern haben im Schlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss geschlafen und die Kinder hatten das ganze Obergeschoss für sich. Leider ist der Rasen, der auf den Fotos zu sehen ist, durch weißen Schotter ersetzt worden und deshalb konnte man draußen nur auf der Terrasse barfuß gehen und man konnte dort auch nicht liegen. Hier würde ich empfehlen, eine Klappliege mitzubringen oder gleich zum Strand zu gehen, der nur 30 Meter entfernt ist. Überhaupt ist in dem kleinen Ort alles ziemlich nah und gut erreichbar: Restaurants, ein kleiner Supermarkt und Bahnhof. Die Kommunikation verlief sehr gut und schnell: wir haben bei der Anreise den Schlüsselcode am Telefon erhalten, alle Fragen wurden schnell beantwortet und wir konnten sogar unsere Koffer etwas länger stehen lassen. Gerne wieder!

Idén harmadszor töltünk el ősszel 1 hetet ebben a barátságos házban. Sajnos az árvíz miatt át kellett raknunk az időpontot, de Ádám és Szandra rendkívül kedves és rugalmas volt ebből a szempontból és az utazás előtti napon megoldottuk az átfoglalást. Imádjuk a házat, csak ajánlani tudom, ha valaki csendes elvonulasra, pihenésre, természetközeli kikapcsolódásra vágyik. Remelem az elkövetkező években is lesz szerencsének itt tölteni egy kis időt.

Die Wohnung hat eine tolle Lage: ruhig an einem See mit wunderschöner Aussicht auf den See vom Wohnzimmer/Küche und vom grossen Balkon aus. Man ist innerhalb von ungefähr 30-40 Minuten mit Auto in der Innenstadt. Eine tolle Wahl, wenn man Ruhe sucht nach einem erlebnisreichen Tag. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Die Wohnung ist schön, geräumig und praktisch eingerichet. Das Bett fand ich bequem. Sehr gerne komme ich wieder, wenn ich in Budapest bin.
