This charming cottage is situated in the heart of Kintbury. There are plenty of lovely walks nearby and the Kennet & Avon canal is within easy reach for fishing and cycling. The village has 2 pubs, a good corner store and a part-time bakery just a minute's walk away. The property is also only a short distance from the station for trains to Newbury/Hungerford (5 minutes), Reading (35 minutes) or London (50 minutes).
“Dorothea couldn’t have been more accommodating. The home is a lovely space and well thought out! Friendly, tidy and an all round pleasant stay for me during my time working down here - the facilities in the home are fantastic. The village is lovely, shame I couldn’t explore due to lockdown but I’m sure the local pubs would have been a great place to wind down. Local walks are plentiful in very pretty surroundings. If I am ever working this way again I will definitely be coming back here!”
Our log cabin is a self contained unit at the bottom of our garden. There is one large living area, which has a double bed, sofa and basic cooking facilities. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. The village pub is less than a 5 minute walk and serves great pub food (though currently closed due to Covid-19- they are doing take aways on Wednesday and Friday) Lovely countryside walks are on your doorstep. Pool is now open for the summer.
“Extremely clean, quiet and comfortable log cabin.. which despite the near sub-zero temperatures was very cosy. Emma gave me very detailed instructions as I was arriving late and was welcoming of my dog. Will definitely stay again if I need somewhere in this area”

“Beautiful, functional property in a very quiet and picturesque village. Janine was a great host who made everything super easy and treated us with some nice little touches such as milk and pastries on arrival. We spent our days out exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and evenings curled up with a bottle of wine in front of the tv on the very comfy sofa. Bliss.”
