Our version of modern rustic and inspired by classic Scandinavian design, 2 Stonedelph sleeps 5. Across the lane from 1 Stonedelph and backing onto ancient woodland, we’ve opened up this late 18th century cottage to combine the kitchen and sitting room. This open plan creates a surprisingly fresh, contemporary feel. But because we’ve used traditional materials of brick and wood throughout, the heritage of the property still shines through. Downstairs there is a large wood burner, and we’ve converted the former coal store into a cosy single bedroom. By the backdoor there is a utility room and WC. Upstairs there are two further bedrooms, both with kingsize beds, and a bath/shower room. 2 Stonedelph also has a large fully enclosed patio with outside seating, and a generous garden.

“Tracey was very helpful and left us to come and go as we pleased. However if needed was always available. Location was perfect with a short walk into Hurstpierpoint which had lovely amenities and a short drive from Brighton. Good central location.”
Beautifully located at the foot of the South Downs, the annex is tucked away in our pretty cottage garden. It has a cosy living area (and work space), a mezzanine level bedroom with double bed and a spacious, beamed bathroom with shower. The patio has a bistro table and chairs from which to enjoy the tranquil view. Moments from the South Downs way, it is perfect for walkers, cyclists and those wishing to explore the many highlights of the area, guests at Pangdean events or outings to Brighton.
“We would highly recommend Verity's place for those looking for somewhere close to the South Downs Way. We were walking a section of the trail and stopped en route for a night. The annex has everything that one needs, a comfy bed, a very clean bathroom, a fridge and a coffee machine and kettle with tea. Verity and her husband were very welcoming hosts and provided us with some local tips about where the best places to eat were which we were very grateful for. We had the optional breakfast tray too which was just what we needed before our walk, Verity had provided some muesli, juice, yogurt, fruit, bread and croissants - a real feast! Thanks Verity and Ed for a lovely stay, we're very envious of how close you live to the South Downs!”
