Escape from it all at this welcoming cabin set along the Little Juniata Creek.
“The place was amazing for the price it is a bargain. I talked to Rae and explained to her how I wanted to surprise my gf with a new puppy. She was really an accommodating host and made sure everything was okay. We had a great time BBQing next to the river and starting a bonfire. I think this was one of the best airbnb's I've ever stayed at. I highly recommend that you stay here for a getaway from the city. The cabin was perfect work a couple vacation. I wish we stayed here longer! Also the WIFI is pretty good I didn't expect that or else I would've stayed and worked from there. Protip: Try not to arrive after dark its a cabin in the woods. We did and it was kinda hard to find late at night despite Rae giving us awesome detailed directions. ;tldr; This is probably the best cabin I stayed at hands down I felt like i was away from everything and the river sounds were really calming. We stayed up late with the bonfire and had a great time.”
The house is 39 minuets away from Harrisburg and an hour away from State college. It’s also fully handicap accessible. There is a google home in every room of the house.
“Clean and beautiful, just as advertised! Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Thompsontown. Crystal provided very detailed check-in and out processes which benefited the stay! Great value considering the overall unit, location, and free parking space! Would definitely visit again.”
Welcome to the tiny Cabin In The Cove! This beautiful cabin sits right in the woods of central Pennsylvania. The cabin is located 1000 ft away from the creek. State game land is a 5 minute drive for hunting. Acres of land for hiking, watch wildlife, or just relax. The Juniata river is a 10 minute drive to go kayaking. Amazing mom and pop resturaunts to eat at. This cabin is just one hour from Penn State main campus for football games and is an hour from Hershey Park.
“Super helpful host, gave lots of tips of things to do in the area (although there's just not a whole lot to do), and very fast communication. Place is very quaint, clean, and you have everything you need to have a comfortable stay. My husband, I, and 2 kids (age 7 and 10) spent a comfortable weekend there. Lots of thoughtful touches (dry firewood, turned the heater on for us prior to arrival, etc)! The area isn't quite as private as I'd hoped, but we were there in April, so very few leaves on the trees. Probably much better in the summer/fall when they are filled in. Nice creek very nearby where we caught a trout. Would recommend to a friend!”
