Beachfront vacation rentals in Illinois River

Always a delight to stay with Cal and Dan. They are outstanding hosts and have created a home of graceful accommodations and comfort. Always look forward to my stays. P.S. The best coffee ever!

We had to travel to that area from Texas for a funeral and I just thought for two days my older brother and myself needed a tranquil place to stay. This little house and its location did not disappoint. Erin came and let us in and she was lovely. The accommodations were as described and comfortable. The lake is beautiful. So I guess the final question is would I stay at the lake house again in an absolute heartbeat in fact up in that area we have a family reunion over Labor Day and I may seek those accommodations again. Thank you, Steven and Erin for a lovely stay!

I loved my stay. the place was clean and peaceful. close to restaurants and things to do. Will definitely want to come back in the future

We were in town for a few days for some high school baseball games and to visit ISU and Bradley. Even though we were gone most of the day, it was SO nice coming back to Annabelle's in the evenings to unwind and relax. It's a beautiful cottage on the water that was clean, roomy, and full of amenities. Annabelle was friendly and accommodating even though nothing went wrong and everything in the cottage was better than described. The area was quiet and the view was INCREDIBLE. Even saw a bald and golden eagle outside in the early morning hours (and found binoculars too).

We enjoyed the hot tub and the view, especially for the sunrises. The decor was amazing and the house had everything we needed!

This is our second stay at Grant's place and it was everything we were hoping for. The cabin itself is delightful, but the outdoor areas are amazing! Grant and his wife could not be better hosts. I highly recommend this property!

This is our second time staying here as a family. There are several reasons we came back: check in and out is very easy; the space accommodates our extended family very well; there is direct lake access though you have to be aware the path is “natural“ and as Doug has said in other reviews, they do not have control over improving the path; the space was very clean and all the essentials are provided; Doug is very responsive and got back to us very quickly when we had minor questions! We would highly recommend staying here, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the time we want to come back😁

Our stay was a girl’s weekend- mother and daughters. The home was perfect for relaxing and visiting. Peaceful and quiet with a lovely view. We especially enjoyed watching the barges and birds. The beds were very comfortable, too. If we’re in the area again, we’d definitely choose this home.

Very Beautiful Home with a fantastic View. A peaceful and tranquil spot that my partner and I enjoyed. Host was responsive and really helpful. Would definitely recommend for any who is looking for quiete get away. Will a book Again in The Future.👍🏽

Amazing house, great views, great communication with owner, and overall great experience! It does technically fit 10 people but that’s assuming that 8 people have to share a bed with someone else which was less than ideal for our group but could be totally someone else could be looking for. Definitely 5/5 stars and would not change a thing about our experience!
