“Made’s Tree House was an incredible place to spend our first nights in Bali. He set us up with airport transfer that was there as we arrived. During the 2.5-3 hour drive from Denpasar, Gusti told us about things to do, eat, and see in Balian. Check in was easy, and we were exited to see that there was a water purifier in the room for our use. The house and surrounding area were clean, and the landscaping was immaculate. We ate at Tekor Bali, Casa Balian Cafe, Toms Garden Cafe, Secret Bay, and a small warung on the left side of the road on the way into Balian Beach. We enjoyed the Warung for lunch, but Secret Bay was a bit disappointing. Do take the walk down to watch the sunset there though! Overall, Made’s place is quiet and laid back. Just the right atmosphere to recover from jet lag and enjoy your first few days in Bali. We cannot recommend it enough.”
The villa sits in an elevated postion in one of the last remaining untouched parts of the island.
“we knew this villa would be amazing but we were in total awe with everything. the view is absolutely amazing as you can see from the pictures. on a side note there are 2 or 3 villas so the pool might be slightly different than what it shows in the picture. The villa we stayed in the pool was horizontally to the villa. Still just as beautiful though. I also had read that they can arrange meals for you but I didn't realize it would be having your own chef in your villa and having the dishes the done for you as well. We originally planned to go out and do some extra activities but decided to cancel so we could spend some more time at this beautiful villa. We also had a masseuse come to our villa were we got a Balinese massage on the patio. (you can chose where). If you have any questions at all while staying there they give you a phone with their contact info in it and they answer right away. As they tell you in notes about the villa it is somewhat difficult to find but that is just because Bali doesn't have addresses like we do in the US. The roads are paved and had no issue riding on it with our scooters. Again its just learning to navigate around Bali. The roads are very narrow and cars do come down them every once in a while. Thank you so much for such a great experience! OH almost forgot to mention our friends that were with us got engaged on our last morning here. yeah, its that special! Amanda, Chris, Brian, Becca”

“The natural beauty of the building and surroundings was amazing as shown in the picture. The food was reasonable and delicious and I was very relaxed. On the other hand, there are inconveniences such as poor hot water supply and many insects. In addition, the river flows nearby, it is like a waterfall with steps, and it is quite noisy at night (earplugs are required). Including them, it was a very unique and wonderful experience.”
