Hillside Cottage is part of Ledges Retreat, a small guest farm in the Northern Drakensberg, located in a picturesque, peaceful valley. We are close to the Royal Natal National Park - home to the Tugela Falls and Amphitheatre. Please note: We are in Northern Drakensberg (not Bergville) near Cavern Resort. A bright, fully furnished studio cottage in a quiet, upmarket suburb halfway between Johannesburg and Durban. Central to exploring the treasures of the northern Drakensberg and NE Free State. Ideal for overnight stops; as an adventure base for the outdoor enthusiast; and for the academic seeking a quiet space for producing important works. Waterfall River Lodge

This is a unique, comfortable, fully kitted, self-catering house sleeping 8/10 people. Hidden in a quiet corner of our working farm it overlooks a pristine section of the Wilge River, with the famous waterfall and Nelson's Kop mountain providing spectacular scenery. Guests will be able to enjoy absolute peace, uninterrupted views and walks in almost every direction. Please note that the property is remote and the last 200m of the access road will require a high clearance vehicle.

Elm Tree Garden Cottage

Rose Garden Manor House B+B Sitting in the shade of a 150 year old Elm tree with a view of Platberg Mountain and sleeping in one of Harrismith’s historical landmarks is a treat. Harrismith is the gem of the Free State, the gateway to the Drakensberg. The Rose Garden manor house was built in 1895 and is owned and run by David and Gill Weaver who have maintained the tradition of a classic B+B so you get to experience life with a South African family.

The unit boasts amazing views of the river and Spioenkop Mountain... watch giraffe browsing in the game reserve from your kitchen window! This little cottage is perfect for a weekend getaway, week long stay or even just a one-nighter when passing through from JHB to Durban. We are 15 minutes off the N3 and 40 minutes from some of the Drakensberg's best hikes.
