Trailside! The Owl’s Nest at Mt Emily Rec Area

Although it is near a well-used parking area for Mt Emily Rec Area, it was still peaceful and we enjoyed a pleasant chat and book reading on the porch, saw a doe with two yearlings and a female turkey. The home is simply goregous inside and out with a fabulous, well-marked kitchen, an ADA shower in one bathroom, luxury accomodations, a great find for a retreat, a BBQ party, a family stay, or even a winter vacation. It is near enough to LaGrande for dinner out, catch a movie, or a visit to Hot Lake. The windows are plentiful and the entire home is designed for glamping. We were impressed with the cleanliness, the details, and the setting. We were four older ladies enjoying a bible retreat and had a great weekend. We will return and suggested it for our men's group. Nearby was an archery shoot so there are possibilities of recreation. The drive to took us past horses and colts. It was fun.

Nadine's place was a nice place for us to stay while watching our daughter play at EOU. There are a lot of stairs to get in the upstairs apartment, which is shown in the pictures. It wasn't a surprise. The living room seating was comfortable and so was the largest room's bed. Everything we needed was available in the kitchen. It was a nice place to stay.

The place was comfy. Had everything we needed felt right at home. It was clean. Instructions were clear. Host was great easy to get a hold of. Love the creek in the backyard. I wish we could’ve stayed longer just to enjoy the sound of the creek. The kids enjoyed it as well. We will definitely stay again if we come back in town.

Heidi and her Mountain Home were the perfect combination for a weekend retreat. She gave us recreation and dining ideas that we used and totally enjoyed. She was responsive tomorrow questions and her home is lovely and peaceful. We look forward to staying there again sometime soon.

We had a great stay! The place was very clean and equipped with everything we needed—kitchen essentials, comfy bedding, and thoughtful touches throughout. This house was a great Airbnb stay for our family. Extremely clean and lovely space to be in. Bright and cheerful decor, Comfortable beds, Lots of extra amenities. Clear and simple check in/check out process. Sarah was very responsive and flexible. We will definitely return for a stay here when visiting our EOU student! This is THE place to stay if your looking to get to know La Grande or if your looking to attend a function at EOU. EVERYTHING is close. The campus is walkable. Downtown is walkable. The house has a well laid out and stocked kitchen. A great dining space and a spot on the back deck to drink your morning coffee. The views from the windows are of the mountains and the cozy neighborhood around the house. The hosts were helpful and quick to respond to any questions and you could tell they made this place with thoughtfulness for their guests. My kids and I loved it. Plenty of room for the kiddos to run in the backyard and play spots in the house, and also wonderful couches for me to sit and read and, again, drink coffee. (I like my caffeine) Highly recommended place for whatever reason you are visiting La Grande.

What an incredible stay! I booked this property for a bachelor trip with the fam, and it was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful location. The property exceeded all expectations. The sauna, heated pool, steam room, and hot tub were all absolutely amazing. The garden and landscaping were meticulously maintained, creating a peaceful and picturesque environment. The sunsets were truly breathtaking, making each evening feel magical. Ruth was incredibly welcoming, kind, and responsive, ensuring the entire experience was smooth and enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I highly recommend this estate to others and would love to return. It was truly an unforgettable experience!

I was in this area for a memorial service and my plans were tentative at best for the entire weekend. Stacy so kindly worked with me as the family’s plans changed, and my plans changed, and it could not have been a better arrangement. The gorgeous historic home felt so cozy as soon as you walked in. I stayed in the king sized bedroom with the in-room bathroom. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and there was plenty of room to unwind and relax. This was a much needed respite in such a stunningly beautiful area!

We were here for a small family wedding in La Grande and this was the perfect location. Very comfortable, and a nice driveway for 2 cars. We had a decent amount of snow and Alma was out clearing walkways and driveways first thing. Top notch communication and a great place, a short drive to everything. We will stay again!

Lovely, spotlessly clean cottage with excellent amenities in a beautiful location. The instructions to get in were clear and concise and communication was timely and helpful. In addition, the printed copy of the house rules was great to have for reference. We appreciated the welcoming treats and the fresh eggs were a wonderful touch. The shower is huge and the bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable. Sadly, we didn't get to meet Caroline, but Hans was such a gentleman and treated us well! Highly recommend this wonderful spot if you're in the La Grande area!

Such a cute place! This was the perfect housing for what we needed. Easy to travel to our location and close to a variety of places to eat! Definitely going to keep this place in mind if we need to rent again in La Grande in the future!
