This primitive cabin nestled in the woods overlooking the Grand River is a nature-lover's paradise! Come canoe, fish, experience wine country, or unplug and just get away from it all. Please note: There is no running water or electricity at the site, but the cabin is generator-ready and there is an outhouse. See below for more details.
“This is a quaint cabin tucked in the woods. Perfect for the ultimate camping experience, without the hassle of setting up a tent. The wood burning stove was fun to use to start a fire. The house heated up immediately, and stayed warm throughout the night without us having to keep the fire going. The beds are bunks and located at the very top of the cabin, so it was easy to stay warm with the rising heat. It was a rainy night, but we made the most of it. Beds were reasonably comfortable. The outhouse was very clean and the compost eliminated any sort of scent. We felt very safe overall. Will definitely be back!”
Now booking for the 2020 season. Secluded lakefront fishing cabin on 30 acres offers the very definition of a quiet oasis in the woods. This home lays at the end of a mile long private drive on over 11 acres of manicured lawn surrounded by 300 year old oak trees. The lake, only feet from your front door, contains bass, bluegill, perch and catfish offering both adults and children alike a wonderful opportunity to cast a line and relax while blue heron and eagles nest in the nearby trees.
“We absolutely loved our "unplugged" vacation! We have a 13 year old boy, 9 year old boy, and 4 year old girl who are obsessed with technology and they had a BLAST outside in the field and fishing. The evenings are quiet and the fishing is wonderful - our 9 year old caught 21 fish in one sitting! I definitely recommend this cabin for fishing and family time. The hosts are great, they're extremely understanding and get back to you quickly! If we come back to the area, I know where we are staying!”
Are you ready to get out of the house, yet? This is a lovely, tall house on 2.3 acres in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The kitchen is cavernous and the living room and bedrooms are warm and comfortable. The house is among 23 beautiful wineries and some of the most beautiful covered bridges in the country. We are 15 minutes from Lake Erie, and just a 3-minute drive from Route 90 which will take you into Cleveland. Come and see us!
“Location, location, location! If your looking for a cozy warm home in the winter, a home close to the Spire institute or a home to stay while vineyard hopping.... you have found the place. This house is extremely clean and organized. No odors! It has everything you would need. I would suggest a larger coffee maker because the coffee maker is a mini coffee maker. There were multiple flat screen TV’s - although we didn’t have time for TV. The price point is perfect and location is key! We will be back next year!”
