“Staying at Zefri's is a great opportunity to know better about Brunei feeling like you are at your home away from home. Wann and Mark took care of us from the first moment and made us had the best experience in Brunei. They give very good advice and they really make you feel you are at your own home. The place is very comfortable, clean and quiet, we had a great night sleep all the three nights. You MUST take (at least) the night safari tour with them. We have done many before but this was really special, their knowledge of the fauna and the surroundings is astonishing. Communication through airbnb is very fast every time we needed something before our arrival. Again, thanks for everything, you made our memories of Brunei the best ones we could imagine.”

“Place is clean and tidy. Surprisingly cosy. A nice place to relax and unwind. The exterior of the place did not do justice to Steves place. Overall, recommended.”
Balek Kampong Hostel, a blend of vintage and tropical vibes offering our guests a relaxing home when travelling to Brunei. It is located in the main historical town centre. Steps away from Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque(the first mosque in Brunei), Royal Regalia Museum, Kampong Ayer(the famous water village), Main Bus Terminal and Kianggeh Market. The area is full of friendly locals, lots of cafes, restaurants, shopping mall, retail shops and coffee shops. Can’t wait to welcome all of you :)
“A+++; absolutely top notch. It's literally a 60 second walk from the bus station & walkable from all the tourist sites, immaculately clean, free washer/dryer, fast & rock-solid wifi, a full kitchen (including microwave), & thoughtful touches/decorations all around. I'm not sure if its brand new or they just maintain it with unimaginable care, but it certainly feels new. The ONLY suggestion I'd make to perspective guests is to pick a "higher letter" room if possible; room A is right next to a very noisy main street, and the rooms get farther away the higher you go (I.e. D-F will be much quieter). But as far as hostels go, and especially in comparison to the other options I saw in BSB, this place is an absolute steal.”
