Come on! The red doors of the Family Lounge are open for you here! - The family rest area is located in Huangpu New Village, Fengshan District, Kaohsiung City. It is a symbol of Taiwan's first-generation family village and a unique cultural settlement in Taiwan. It was originally a family home during the Japanese rule. After the National Government accepted Taiwan, it was occupied by family members of the National Army. Therefore, a special architectural scene of traditional Japanese architecture and Chinese life was derived, and it was one of the unique characteristics of the whole Taiwanese family village. In 2013, the Kaohsiung Municipality logged in to the cultural landscape and saved it in 2018. The launch of the "Living for and Protecting Village Families" program also gave us the opportunity to invite more people to stay in this historic old house. We have chosen to reinvent the cultural model and improve the functional structure in a way that combines old and new without destroying the old house structure.
