“Such an awesome place perched up on a hill with a lovely balcony with view over to the hills and water, with afternoon sun too. Really cool place, room was great, and it was quick to get over the shower pressure . Paaka sorted out a desk for me to use in my room. He was a great host and nice to spend time with in the evening. I stayed here for 4 weeks and definitely felt at home. I certainly know where to come next time I’m in gisborne.”
A charming, rambling turn of the century arts and crafts house. William Morris wallpaper and drapes, rustic kitchen with wood, old bricks, terra cotta, copper, etc and all modern amenities. TV lounge with Firenze fire. Deep verandahs and a trellised deck off the kitchen for alfresco dining, two lounges and a sunny breakfast room. Huge, private garden plus a pergola with wisteria, old climbing roses and bougainvillea. The room has a king single bed with a memory foam overlay for extra comfort.
“Helene is a perfect host. She takes care and is interested in anyone. It was a great pleasure for me staying in her very beautiful and charming house. I really enjoyed the company of Helene and her lovely cat Diva. . We had a good time together and I highly recommend this accommodation. I wish I could have stayed longer.”
Thanks for looking at our listing. After all the restrictions, consider treating yourself to the peace and tranquillity of our place. Our property is a life style block. We keep chickens, ducks & geese who all free range in our bountiful, organic mandarin orchard. We have a large garden, a native bush area, organic vegetable garden, bee friendly area and several fruit trees. Our two small dogs, Rocco & Pops, watch over the property & live with us in the main house with Hector the cat.
“Tania’s place is exactly as described - it’s right on the edge of town so easy access and the place itself is really lovely. The bedroom and bathroom are both very nice and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept on. Tania and her husband are very nice and easy going, their ‘welcome book’ has lots of great information about the area and things to do. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Gisborne but at a nice peaceful distance from the centre.”
