“INCREDIBLE! What a perfect weekend and a what a perfect Airbnb. When we arrived, there were homemade cookies and fresh strawberries waiting for us. Check-in was easy. The cabin was adorable and super clean - the photos don’t even do it justice. Jo and Steve came by to welcome us and gave us great hiking suggestions. We came to town to visit Indiana dunes national park - Make sure you do cowles bog while you’re visiting! Later in the weekend, when we wanted to have a bonfire, Steve started the fire for us. He also gave us a tour of their beautiful property and the adjoining orchard. Cannot say enough good things. We will be back :-)”

“Perfect! Loved, loved, loved this space! Beats a hotel any day. They thought of everything. Plenty of towels, linens, blankets, etc. Even had travel size amenities if you needed them (soap, floss, etc). Lots of books to read, games to play (we didn't need them but if you did, had choices). Loved the fire pit and sitting outside to relax in the evenings after an all day adventure. It's located close to everything (for our purposes anyway, the Indiana Dunes National Park). Only about 1.5 miles from the park and close to downtown, restaurants, etc. Ed and Deb were very gracious, kind folks with good local tips. Seriously, stay here. You will not be disappointed.”
This is a private, tiny cabin resting on 170 shared acres of abundant nature, wildlife and trails. Tranquil surroundings give any nature lover a place to reconnect with oneself and nature. **In the light of the Corona-Virus and the fears surrounding the spread of the virus, we have supplied the unit with two air purifiers and are vigorously sterilizing the space and disinfecting all surfaces in between guests.**
“We absolutely loved our extended stay at Liz's beautiful home. She and her partner have thought of everything you need. The bed is comfy, there are condiments and toiletries, bug spray, a gas grill, a fire pit, binoculars for bird watching, and absolutely every board game you could think of to play at night. There are about 5 miles of trails on property which we walked daily, but only ran into a couple of other people. We were there for 8 nights on a working vacation. The internet was strong and stable and conducive to working. Verizon cell signal was only one or two bars, but it was workable for phone calls. We also took a few days off work and were able to enjoy hiking in the Dunes and walking the nearby beaches. All in all a wonderful retreat so close to Chicago! We'd return any time of the year because I imagine its also very beautiful in Winter.”
