Carrie brought homemade cookies when we checked in as well as a few footballs after she saw we had young boys. The pictures on the ad are a bit outdated but that means the place is way better than we expected as they have all new furniture. Very cozy cabin with all the needed amenities.

One of my top stays in Soldotna! My family and I frequently visit the Kenai during all seasons of the year and this place is on our must return list. We felt like we were in a secluded retreat yet we were minutes away from the amenities of civilization. Loved the peaceful surroundings and all the room to move about for the family.

The house was super clean, well-organized, and everything was labeled, so it was easy to find what we needed and know where to put things back. It had all the amenities you could want, including an amazing hot tub with an awesome view of the lake. The wraparound deck and the fire pit down by the lake were perfect for relaxing. Plus, the dock made it easy to fish and kayak – so many fun outdoor activities! The house was really spacious, and although there was only two of us and we kept to the main house, the other one was available. This place would be awesome for a family trip or a getaway with friends. We’re already thinking about coming back next year to tackle the Kenai River with our friends. The hosts were super friendly, responsive, and made us feel really welcome. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful and serene little cabin with everything you could possibly need to cook and prepare food. Robin was very helpful with suggestions on food and adventure. Me and my two teenage boys enjoyed our week long stay thoroughly. Planning on a return trip in the summer so we can explore a little more.

Beautiful setting and comfy furniture. This is a great landing spot. The 3rd bed is in an arctic entry/addition so a bit chilly. We were welcomed by a moose stopping by the backyard for dinner. We didn’t have time to build a fire in the fire pit, but it would’ve been an awesome setting to do so. Neat place!

This cabin is a real gem in Kenai. It's beautiful, cozy, in a wonderful location and is well cared for. We found it to be even better then the description and pictures in the listing. Just understand it is a small cabin so if you are looking to spread out you may want something bigger. It was perfect for the two of us and I would say up to 4 people could make it work. The loft is great but if your tall like I am you may hit your head if your not careful. =) Seriously if you are looking to stay in this area and want a cozy, private space you would be hard pressed to find a better place. I know we will be back for sure.

Clean and spartan. This place had everything we needed for our fishing trip. Five minutes from the beach. Some food options nearby. Kristie was very fast to respond when we had questions. We hope to use it again next year

What a great place, location is a walk to the beach. Mary was so nice and accommodating. She even went out of her way to get us fishing nets and poles to use for our fishing trip. The coffee cake and banana bread was out of this world. The place was fully stocked with everything we needed. Will be a go to place for a fishing trip in kenai.

We really enjoyed our short stay here. The host family is very friendly and hospitable. We even picked a few fresh eggs from the chicken coop in the backyard. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. We would love to come again if the opportunities afford.

This home is perfect if you’re looking for the perfect Alaskan experience. The view of the river is gorgeous. There were two bald eagles that showed themselves often. Gary gave us perfect instructions for fishing and even left us bait and tackle. He was always responsive and genuinely a perfect host.

The owners were very communicative, helpful, and conscientious to make sure we had a good stay. They were also really kind and generous in offering the lake options at their other rental house since it was empty at the time, giving us tips on fishing, and leaving us some of their fresh salmon they caught recently to cook for dinner. Additionally, the space was great for our large group and in a beautiful setting with amazing views off the back deck!
