Our family had a really great time here and everything was as described! Cabin was very comfortable, and John was an extremely kind host. The backdrop of Mt Roland is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the platypus in the pond on site

Blackwood Park Cottages - Hobbit Cottage

LucyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Georgeous farm and wonderfully simple cottage with a wood burner and lovely atmosphere which was private , yet with great walks around the farm . There is an amazing walk close by to a viewing platform overlooking a magnificent gorge. Perfect for visiting Cradle mountain as it’s only about 1.25 hrs drive.

Manna Hill Farm Cottages - Mt Roland View

Jane ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Just spectacular. We can't recommend Manna Hill Farm enough. The photos do not do this place justice! Simon and Eileen are incredibly thoughtful and so much care and attention has gone into making the cottages a wonderful place to stay. Its worth every penny and has the added bonus of Amber (a gorgeous Aussie Shephard) greeting you at check in 😊 Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

Eagles Nest II Luxury Private Spa Property

JackieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you're looking for a place to breathe, relax, contemplate, reflect, play, chat and spend quality time with family and friends, Eagles Nest 2 is perfect. With Mt Roland and a big wide sky as the grand backdrop view from all angles of the house, and with cathedral height windows celebrating every inch of the view, being inside and outside feels seamless. Eagles Nest is an experience. All the rooms are themed and the decor interestingly eclectic. The beds are very comfy. The place is clean. The kitchen has everything one needs. And then there's the outdoor spa (where you run your outdoor bath) tucked discreetly away for a relaxing soak. I think spectacular is the best word to describe the view and the night sky. We even saw a meteor shower from our bed which will be forever etched in my mind, with Mt Roland silhouetted in the background and a squillion million stars twinkling in the night sky (admittedly it was 4.30am - I'd woken to visit the bathroom - lucky timing!). So nice!

Blackwood Park Cottages - Heritage Cottage

ZoeRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved staying here with our two children - the location is fantastic with beautiful views from the house, which itself is a stunning historic cottage. The beds are v comfortable also. We walked to Alum Cliffs, which was glorious. We saw a platypus in the creek down at Mole Creek. Mole Creek caves are also worth visiting, most especially for the glow worms. Wish we had stayed longer! I can imagine a relaxing week in beautiful Tasmania staying here.

AAA Granary Accomm - LOFT- Studio

SamRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed overnight before heading on to Cradle Mountain the next morning. The location is excellent which is only 45 min drive to get there. The place is off the main track but still easy to find using google map. As the closest town Sheffield is about 30min drive so best to stock up all you need and prepare your own meal. The place offers good facilities to cook your own.

Kings View Farm ‘The Cottage’ - side of Mt Roland

VeraRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Tracy and Quentin’s place was just amazing. The house itself was clean and lovely. It surrounded by trees and covered by tbe huge Mt Roland behind it. It was cold during the night, but they have fireplace that kept us warm the whole night. Quentin let us to hop on to his bike to meet and feed his cows, goats, chicken and alpaca. We took less than 10 mins drive to reach Sheffield for our grocery need. Everything was just so beautiful and peaceful. Thanks Tracy and Quentin.

‘The Crib’ at WhisperingWoods

AlexandraRating, 5 stars4 days ago
This was our favourite stay on our holiday around Tassie. We spent two nights here and could have easily stayed for a week. The Crib at WhisperingWoods is set on the most magical property; a gorgeous hobby farm with chickens, geese, sheep, alpacas and a very friendly dog, and provides a more personal Airbnb experience compared to most other places. We were with our two year old, who didn’t want to leave as she loved it so much there. It was such a peaceful location, full of trees and a gorgeous view of the mountains. Some breakfast provisions, as well as a bottle of wine, were very thoughtfully left. We could not recommend this place more highly; Klara was absolutely wonderful. Thank you for letting us stay on your beautiful property.

The Coach House on family farm

CarlyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
The Coach House is a very special place- the perfect accomodation to appreciate the beauty and history of the local area, as well as being a great base to explore the surrounding attractions. Ginny was a wonderful host, giving the kids an opportunity to feed some sheep, and a great source of information on local must-do’s. Thankyou so much to the team at Wesleydale for sharing your beautiful property with us for a few days- we will be back 🐑

Silver Ridge Retreat Spa Cabin3+ heated pool+

YouchengRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
For the LOCATION: The location is PERFECT for people who want to visit Cradle Mountain. The living place has a fantastic view of the mountains. It is about a 15-minute drive to the closest town of Tasmania. For the HOUSE: Everything is well-maintained and tidy. The facility is old but enough to use. Do not recommend BBQ, because the BBQ facility is outside and it would bother other neighbours. The kitchen comes with some kitchen utensils but it needs to be further cleaned. For the ENVIRONMENT: If you are an animal lover, this place is the best for you! There are lots of animals and also a cute kitty in the reception :)

Secret Little Eden

PaulaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
There is nothing about Secret Little Eden to find fault with. The house is beautiful and private, with so many interesting and fun things to keep you occupied. Loads of music, books and DVDs to make use of, the wonderful spa under the stars, even musical instruments to have a play with if you’re so inclined. Regrettably we only had one night at Dom’s place on our way through but if we ever find ourselves in the neighbourhood this will be our must stay location. Such a friendly and welcoming host, not to mention all the beautiful animals we got to meet as well. Th Al you again Dom, we sincerely hope to see you again sometime.

Towering Gums Three

CatherineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at Towering Gums Three for eight night. The space was lovely for our family of four. Lovely large kitchen, dining area and sofas. Family memories made sitting on the balcony watching the sun set and the stars come out at night. The window seat in the kitchen was every bodies favorite spot to enjoy the sunshine. It was very relaxing to be amongst nature, with views from every window.

Badger's View Cabin farmstay (Green Hornet)

RachelleRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This place is incredible I have travelled and stayed many places around Tasmania and this one would be my favourite. The peacefulness in the surroundings and the beautiful outlook and mountains is something special. If you love the outdoors and wanting something beautiful to stay in there, this is your place. We absolutely loved our buggy tour and it felt full of adventure seeing so much wildlife The cabin was so clean and tidy and beautiful to look at. If you are wanting a place that feels like home yet incorporates Tasmania and all its beauty, then this is the place to go. The room was modern and comfortable and everything was thought of including our beautiful breakfast.. the host are so welcoming and so easy to communicate with. We are so grateful for our time there and we cannot wait to return. This place is truly heavenly.

Roland Chalet - Family (4)

LukeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a lovely stay at Angela's place. Such a beautiful setting and our daughters loved visiting all the animals. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable with everything needed to cook. It was lovely to arrive to a basket of goodies, including fresh bread, eggs, jams, butter and olive oil. We had easy access to Cradle Mountain and all the beauty it had to offer. Tank you for such a lovely stay.

Castra, Cradle area, Big breakfast ,ensuited room

RachelRating, 5 stars15 months ago
Peter and Susie were the perfect hosts! They were proactive in letting us know that there are no grocery stores or restaurants nearby, so we had plenty of time to buy our own food (however, they offered to cook us dinner). Peter gave us plenty of local recommendations, insider information, when we arrived and they offered excellent hiking tips for Cradle Mountain. The suite was large and in pristine condition. The bed, linens, and pillows were super comfortable (we loved the heating blanket). Lovely toiletries provided and a nice hot shower. We thought the filtered water tap was a fantastic surprise addition. There was also a kettle and fridge in our room, with our personal supply of coffee and tea. The 2 course breakfast was the cherry on top, absolutely delicious. The only downfall, which should not prevent you from running to stay here, is the shower head being a little low and not having the best pressure.

Felt right at home right away. Penny was a wonderful and helpful host and we had a lovely time here. Even though there were other tenants in the unit next door it still felt quite private too.
