My studio apartment developed for, but not limited to, creative confinement.
“Wonderful place to stay if you’re looking for something cozy and unique. Super comfy bed and cool book selection. The instruments and hammock make it even more fun. Impressive number of kitchen amenities for a studio and it was also stocked with all the plates/silverware/etc. you might need. Hosts were very responsive and left tons of great information about local things to do. Would have done a lot more exploring if it weren’t for covid, the house is right down the street from some great shops and restaurants. Overall great vibes for a great price. I’ll definitely stay here again if I’m ever in the area.”
Enter through the basement entrance into a kitchenette, includes several appliances, shelving and table. Close the curtains to your private queen bed. Close to I-68, and FSU, not too far from GAP. Also in the basement is a private half bath, washer, dryer, and NOW a standing shower! Your private room also host a closet, dresser and desk.
“We stayed at Heather’s to treat ourselves to a non-camping night while doing a multi-day GAP ride. We lucked out and found her place last minute in a pinch when we couldn’t find anything in Cumberland. Heather and her family are warm and welcoming and even offered us pie! While not luxurious, or in the realm of a “treat yo self” stay, it definitely served its purpose with providing a warm place to stay with beds and a hot shower! We were super happy to have stayed here and would do it again to break up the camping streak when bike packing. I’d say our least favorite part was getting OFF the trail and back. Frostburg is much hillier than we hoped after a long day of riding.”
Walk away from reality. Run to simplicity. Be in the moment on our farm. Located in the heart of Savage River State Forest. The farm is close enough to Deep Creek Lake to enjoy and far enough away to relax. Perfect for those who love to hike, bike, kayak, or a peaceful, serene retreat.
“Sadie's room is everything you could ask for at this price point. The area is breathtaking; watching the fireflies over the field with a clear sky full of stars was mesmerizing and something you just can't witness closer to the city. The room itself was immaculate and filled with touches that gave it a unique and compelling character all its own. The best 'amenity' would have to be the animals roaming around the farm. Sully, Oreo, and their charming barn cat are the most welcoming (and affectionate!) hosts you could ask for. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a breathtaking getaway. Definitely will consider coming back to see the area and land covered in snow!”
