Organize camping and other travel experience, culture, nature and festivals
“The interaction with villeme was one of the best in my Airbnb experiences. He constantly kept in touch and helped us get our ILP as well. Unfortunately we couldn't be at his camping experience as our travel got delayed , but he helped us get a stay at kohima in the last minute. Finally we got to met him at the Hornbill festival. Overall despite the fact that we didn't get to stay at his experience, overall interaction with villeme was wonderful and we look forward to catching up with him next year.”
Our home is located in Khonoma, about 20 km away which is roughly 40 mins drive from Kohima. A very peaceful village, away from the hustle and bustle city life. You will see beautiful landscapes and if you are up for it, you can also go for trekking, birding.
“Welcome to the most beautiful place with a gorgeous view! Uncle Kose and his family made sure that I felt at home and engaged me through their daily life. I went to their paddy fields and it was the most beautiful experience having lunch in middle of the rice fields. He and his family is always there to help you with things. They are simple and very sweet family and will make sure that you have the most memorable stay. I can't thank them enough for the memorable stay. I learnt a lot about Angami culture, food and will definitely return to stay with them again. I would say, the best homestay in Khonoma with such homely vibe. Thanks a lot for everything.”
A cozy apartment complete with a fully functional kitchen with modern amenities. It is located just 5 mins away from the taxi stand. There are several cafes and eating joints, departmental stores, chemists, ATM- all in the vicinity of 200 meters.
“Asen has an amazing place and she's a superb host. All our basic necessities were taken care of and she was there to help us out in every way possible. The kitchen has everything you need and the host welcomed us with basic food (like eggs, milk, coffee). Located at the heart of the city, the place itself is very accessible. Yet the neighborhood is neatly tucked away from the hubbub of the city and is a very serene and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and I will definitely recommend Lijen's Homestay to anyone who wants 'a home away from home'. Will stay again whenever I visit Kohima, without any doubt. Thank you Asen :)”
