I felt at home immediately I arrived at Swordfish.The guard expressed readiness to host us.During the stay,Gladys was very helpful and made our stay cool . Rossella assisted with a list of cabs to engage during the stay that we really appreciated.I would highly recommend Swordfish samaki house to anyone willing to stay in Malindi.

This place is definitely worth your time looking at. I thought I’d miss being right at the beach, but honestly, we looked forward to coming ‘home’ to Joseph and David and the calm, quiet, cool of Ruby House. We spent time reading, playing games, reconnecting and resting, as well as swimming and bobbing in the creek - listening and watching birds. It is so peaceful - chatting with fishermen, and just taking in the surroundings. We went for a few day trips- the Gede ruins are well worth an hour of your time, sand dunes north of malindi were great. And we LOVED Garoda Beach - much less seaweed and less busy. I could not speak more highly of the staff - they were present but not, flexible, understanding and really wanted to help make your time enjoyable. The rooms were so comfortable. I think it may be a little hot in the very hot month, but it gets a lovely breeze and there is always the one room to escape into for an afternoon nap if necessary - but we didn’t need to do this. We had a wonderful stay. Katie was always friendly and responsive, and Beatrice, Anderson and Ngala made our time extra peacfeul. We loved having Sophie the cat around. The house is a short tuk-tuk drive away from the creek with some really wonderful restaurants around. It's exactly as showed on the pictures, we slept in the lower two rooms as we visited just as the raint season started and the top bedroom is a little exposed, but very beautiful if you're staying in the dry season. Would really recommend :)

This place in Watamu was truly beautiful and private. The staff here were incredibly kind and thoughtful. It happened to rain heavily on the day we checked in, and one of the staff members kindly accompanied us to the supermarket. They constantly checked to make sure we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. If you’re looking for a peaceful, private retreat with genuinely warm hospitality in beautiful Watamu, I highly recommend this place.

Lovely house, great pool, attentive but unobtrusive staff including a great chef. You need some reliable Tuk Tuk drivers to get to the beach and other places but you wouldn’t get a place of this quality/price by the beach. Both our families had an incredible stay at Watamu.

Jess is a fantastic host! The cook was incredibly helpful, prepared delicious and practical meals, and the garden is absolutely wonderful – a true highlight of the stay. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely house on the beach just next to Treehouse Watamu. The location is excellent, the staff very friendly, and the house has lots of spots to relax and hangout. It also has a nice pool, good mosquito nets and lots of fans. The ocean is a 3 minute walk and this particular stretch of beach is peaceful, empty and hassle free. The house has two good sized double rooms with a bunkbed (double down, single up) in a small corridor. It fit our family of five perfectly. Will definitely be back.

We were a family of four with two children ages 9 and 7 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in watamu. My children didn’t want to leave the pool and it was so convenient that it was right outside the veranda. The location is perfect. Right on the beach but so close to walking to lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. you can walk down the beach to hire a boat for a ride to snorkel and dolphin watch, you can walk out to the islands at low tide. We hired Joffit, a local chef at Federica’s recommendation , to prepare breakfast and lunches and do shopping. Would highly recommend to anyone else. It made the stay very relaxing. The flat was perfect for our family. Extremely clean, spacious and we appreciated the minimalist decor. We didn’t notice any loud noise like other reviewers mentioned. We could hear the waves at night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Watamu.

I stayed at Lydia's place for 5 days with my family.Lydia's place exceeded my expectations! the welcome was good, she responds very fast to her clients. the place is neatly kept! ever clean. and ofcoz a cake surprise on our last day was lovely! I recommend her to anyone travelling to Mombasa.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing, amazing, amazing time at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the house manager, who made sure we felt right at home. The space itself was immaculately clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable- everything we could have hoped for. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the incredible hospitality. Every morning, we received a thoughtful check-in call to see how our night was, which was such a nice touch. The service providers were also fantastic- they ensured our place was spotless, security was top-notch, and they even helped us with our luggage. A special thank you to the team for accommodating our request for an early check-in and a late check-out, which made a huge difference given our itinerary. That level of flexibility is rare and truly appreciated. We absolutely loved our stay and will 100% recommend this place to friends. We’re already looking forward to coming back for another visit!

She is an amazing host!! Very responsive and checks on you to see if everything is okay. Definitely coming back when I’m in town!

Nice place nestled in town however out of the way of town so it’s a side street that lead you into the town so it’s not noisy also everything is practically on your doorstep

The decor was magnificent. From the meaningful wall hanging inscriptions to radiant lighting(there were about 4 types of different lights. Luxurious spaces from the living room, working space, relaxing space facing the pool and part of the ocean and thoughtful inclusion of useful utensils. will there again and again.

We stayed at Aisha's place with my family. The appartement was clean, cosy, comfortable, with air-conditioning in both rooms and a lovely shared swimming pool in the compound. Our hosts were friendly and attentive and gave us a lot of suggestions about what to do in the surrounding area. We will be definitely coming back, it was great value for money!

Lovely appartment just in front of the beach and close to all amenities. Very good communication with Alessandro who was always prompt to responding to queries. The A/C in the room was much appreciated! The nearby hôtels are a bit noisy over the week end. Overall a very pleasant experience!

We had a great stay at Lucy’s place. Check-in was smooth and on time, and the place was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed. The swimming pool was amazing, and we were able to use it every day. The air conditioner kept us comfortable, and having a washing machine and iron was really helpful, especially with the clothes we brought. A cleaner came in regularly, which kept everything tidy. Getting to the main amenities and nearby cities was easy, and tuk-tuks were readily available to pick us up whenever needed. Overall, everything went smoothly, and I would highly recommend staying at Lucy’s place!

We had a pleasant stay. Lots of amenities associated with the Gecko resort. Good restaurants not far away. Tribe Water Sports on the beach. Great Kite Boarding. Two big pools. Nightly entertainment. Daily cleaning.

We loved our 10 day stay at Susan's place - so much so that we are already looking to book again! Its a fabulous location, next door to a host of great beach restaurants, coffee shops and food stops. It was perfect with young kids, we could run out to the pool and beach (with is connected to the property) and also have AC in the house for when we needed rest. The flat itself is clean, comfortable (especially the beds) and has everything you'll need! It exceeded our expectations and we have already recommended to friends.

Great place and value. It's about 15 minutes drive to shops, malls. It's about 10 minute walk to the beach. The host is great.

Tee and the housekeeper are amazing. Very welcoming..you don't feel nagging even when you keep contacting them.
