My family was traveling through and stayed here at the start and end of our trip. It was a peaceful and restful place to recharge and we wished we would have had more time to enjoy the property. Miranda even helped to accommodate our little one by having some kids items available (high chair, etc) that made us feel more at home. This truly was a wonderful place to stay!!

I came to visit my son and enjoy the surrounding redwoods, but ended up having to stay indoors a lot more than planned, and I was very, very comfortable in Sara's place. The kitchen has all the appliances and utensils you need; I loved the firm mattress; and, being an avid reader, I loved the comfy chair in the bedroom and the bright lighting throughout. It's situated in a very quiet neighborhood, and a lovely Café is just a stone's throw down the hill. Sara's personalized Welcome sign made me feel right at home, and she was always very quick to respond when I reached out. I just really liked the place and enjoyed my stay very much!

The cottage was lovely and it was super peaceful but also close enough to downtown Ferndale to walk!

As I was planning our trip to Humboldt, the pictures in this listing caught my eye. It turned out it was the same little cottage I used to live in when I lived in Arcata. It's an amazing little place with the perfect location for exploring downtown Arcata. An amazing trip down memory lane! Highly recommend the host and location!

Our stay at this magical Ferndale cottage was truly unforgettable. From the moment we booked, Caroline was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. Checking in before, during, and after our visit. The location couldn’t be better, just steps from Ferndale’s charming main street and a short drive to the breathtaking Avenue of the Giants. But honestly, we barely wanted to leave the cottage. It’s so cozy, beautifully appointed, and surrounded by a whimsical garden and a babbling creek. It felt like something out of a fairytale. The space is stocked with everything you might need, and Caroline went above and beyond by leaving us a few welcome treats. My partner, who’s British, lit up when he saw the “After Eight” mints.. a sweet, nostalgic touch. Every detail reflects true care and hospitality. We felt completely at home and can’t wait for the chance to return. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved our stay the first time, so wanted to come back for our honeymoon! Jonathan and his family were so welcoming into their beautiful home, we will absolutely be returning!

Hosts were responsive and friendly. Room was nice and clean, quiet and in a convenient location. It was everything we needed.

I'm a 72yo husband to a much younger woman of 69. There are amenities that are inconsequential for much younger travelors that matter moreso to the silver crowd. Understand that nothing I add here subtracts from the accommodations listed, they are only observations near and dear to weary geriatrics. The unit is up a flight of stairs that are attached to the exterior of the building. This is a non-issue to travelers younger than I. The bathroom has been meticulously remodeled. Shower has a wide entry door with a minimum of threshold so no stubbed toes. However, the large shower has no grab bars which is concerning when you can't open your eyes while rinsing or turning. I have found that not all commodes are the same height so be aware this unit has a very low landing height without a grab point to resurrect one to upright. Nonetheless, the unit remains a fantastic lodging experience and in no way should my observations deter an informed traveler from selecting Scott's great offering.

I really could not say enough wonderful things about this place. The cabin is beautifully decorated and so cozy and the location is so picturesque. Jennifer is an amazing host and responds quickly with any concerns. We loved it so much that we booked our next stay while we were there.

Great location - quiet neighborhood but quick and easy access to Redding area and nearby attractions. Unit was very clean and just like the review. Would definitely stay again if in the Redding area for vacation again.

I stayed here with my dog during a long road trip. The space is very comfortable and peaceful. The surroundings are beautiful and the location is convenient to walk to the lovely main street of Ferndale. Alexa is a thoughtful, friendly hostess and was very pleasant to communicate with.

Our stay was wonderful. We had come after a long day of hiking to see waterfalls and came early to our air bnb to crash. The place was very cosy and homely. We had a restful comfortable stay and would recommend this place to people who want some peace and quiet after a long day of being outdoors! Thanks Amy for the experience!

This was not our first time at the cottage. The place is very nice. The bed is comfortable. The little outdoor space is just right. Lots of privacy and so walkable to shops, theaters and park. Also Philip is very responsive if you have any questions or concerns. Hopefully we will be back again.

Great place to stay! It has easy access to the highway and a super cozy bed. We found ourselves falling asleep easily ln the mattress. Chrissy is very responsive and will address any questions or concerns right away.

Host family and friendly animals(Alpaka, chicken, duck, dog and wild dear) welcomed us. It was a wonderful experience for us, especially for kids to stay with these animals. House and its amenities were good and clean as we expected. Our kids is hoping to stay here next time.

Wonderful stay in this serene sanctuary. I felt right at home at Therese and Lori’s little cabin. It’s in a very quiet neighborhood backing up to the forest. The hosts were gracious and helpful. It was clean and had everything I needed to be comfortable. Would absolutely stay again!

A nice quiet place. Well decorated. Although we didn’t explore surroundings, but looked great. The bed and linens could be little better. Overall I liked it and would highly recommend.

Great place!!!!! Beds were super comfortable which is important for my wife and myself! Very clean. Great location. And communication was excellent! Will DEFINATELY stay again. But it may be hard to book because EVERYONE loves it! Lol! Thank you Lance and Sandra!!!!! Will see you again soon!

Stayed for two nights, 5min drive to the redwood national park. Home was clean and quiet. Sights that we visited Mystery of the trees, drove our suv through a tree, moonstone beach.

Our family loved staying here. It’s a great location with easy access to anything in the Redding area. It’s quiet, peaceful and a great neighborhood. The hosts are very proactive and give great instructions and make themselves available for any questions. We will definitely be staying again!
