Nestled deep within the enchanted Darjeeling Mandarin orange plantation we bring you a spectacular journey of a lifetime where you can be one with nature.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
“Words cannot describe how delighted we were during our two day stay at the Green Lawn Cottage. Karan's dad, Mr. Gurung, a very knowledgeable yet humble man, was very happy to show us around his organic farm. Karan's mom, who was always smiling and down to earth left us with unforgettable memories of her delicious, finger licking food which was prepared using the fresh produce of the garden. Karan's wife, Ramona, was always there to make sure we were having a comfortable stay. Loved the love and warmth of the family. A memorable stay indeed. Wished we could have stayed longer.”
Noted especially as the house where the last princess of Burma resided in exile between 1939-40, Arcadia is a single-family owned 3 1/2 acre property for over 4 generations. Located at the foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North Bengal, the colonial-style bungalow and cottages boast a spectacular view of the Kanchenjunga range and Sikkim hillsides. Ideal for artists, scholars, birders, backpackers & families. A small reference library is open to visitors. See below for more information.
“wonderful place to stay.. particularly ideal for those who wish to stay at a quiet place. there are three rooms out of which the kanchenjunga view room is the best and fully worth the amount. You can see the mountains sitting on the verandah and from the lawn. Sanjay is a great host and his mother is so sweet. She cooked food for us and it was very delicious. Sanjay has a good collection of books and book lovers can just take a book from his library, sit in the verandah and enjoy it with view of the mountains, sound of crickets and of a small stream running close. I look forward to visiting this place again.”
Room on the roof. An exclusive getaway atop a four storied building in the middle of town. We offer a double bedded suite with a kitchenette located in the heart of the town of kalimpong . Restaurants, coffee shops and main town is 5 mins away.
“Memorable is one word to describe it. The view is breathtaking from the room. My attraction for attics and terrace rooms made me opt for it, and I wasn't expecting much out of it, but did I get blown over or what? Lezo's Mom is a beautiful hostess. Wish we had time to stay a few more days to enjoy her hospitality and the stupefying view. Also the kitchenette is lovely. Is it weird that I kind of fell in love with the grass basket in which they sent breakfast ingredients? As is apparent in my book-length essay here - please do visit if you want to stay at the heart of Kalimpong and yet enjoy a peaceful cup of tea as you watch the sunrise from your bed. Can't wait to revisit asap.”
