AIRPORT: 63km PORT: 60km HOSPITAL: 54km The closest beach is the one of Matala, 10' minutes drive, close to the village is the archeoligical site of Phaistos. The village has traditional houses and right at the center, Votano store, a specialized corner of aromatic-therapeutic herbs and spices.

It is 10 minutes away from the famous beaches of Matala, Kommos,Agiofarago, Kalamaki, Kokkinos Pyrgos and Kaloi Limenes. Because it’s in the south part of Crete, even in the windy days you can find a beach that’s calm enough for swimming. The Minoan palace of Faistos, the archeological site of Gortyna, the cave-graves of Matala are also only 10 minutes away.
