Ideal for people looking to experience a typical rural community life with nature, peace and wellness. Ecological sustainability vis a vis permaculture is our primary focus and as our tribe grows, we want to see that ideal take shape. We conduct natural building, soap making, yoga & slow food workshops. Please note that a 15 minute uphill walk from the main road is required to reach us. While this may be a pleasure for some, it might not be for others. Please make your decision based on that.
“What started as a hunt for an anniversary getaway, ended up being the most delightful experience amidst unadulterated nature. At Petrichor, my husband and I spent such quality time with each other which few places without commercial activity can claim to offer. The first thing that strikes you is the spectacular view. It takes a little effort to deserve it, but once you have hiked uphill for about 15 minutes from the road to reach Petrichor, you stand stunned to see a beautiful mountain view on one side and lush forested hills on all others. The hut we stayed in was beautifully and creatively decorated, was spacious and comfortable. The fresh water pool was a huge plus specially since we visited during warm season. There is nothing better than dipping in a pool overlooking blue mountain peaks and floating white clouds. While the natural beauty around us satisfied the soul, simple, farm grown, organic food satisfied our tummies, which were often empty from the various hikes we took in the hills all around us. The hosts, Sweta and Siddhartha met us on the last day of our trip. They are both such interesting people and conversation with them was great. In their absence their staff took good care of us, guiding us on longer trails, preparing food, bringing local beer and even providing interesting company. The phone network comes and goes, but is enough for important and emergency communication. If you want to go on excursions, there is facility to hire a car and a driver but there is enough to explore within the property, the artist's hut, the mud fireplace, the beautiful open kitchen, the open deck with a hammock, the pool, the kitchen garden, it goes on. There couldn't be a better and more comfortable way for us city folk to start experiencing nature in its real form at the beautiful Petrichor.”

“I stayed for a week mostly working during the day in the room and going out in the evenings. The place had everything i needed and Ashish was ready to help with anything I required. Good wifi, clean bathroom and a fairly well-equipped kitchen. It’s about a 30-40 minute uphill walk to MG Marg and less than 15 min walk back downhill. Nice view either through window at the end of corridor or your room (depending on which room you’re staying in). I would stay here again.”

“Words cannot describe how delighted we were during our two day stay at the Green Lawn Cottage. Karan's dad, Mr. Gurung, a very knowledgeable yet humble man, was very happy to show us around his organic farm. Karan's mom, who was always smiling and down to earth left us with unforgettable memories of her delicious, finger licking food which was prepared using the fresh produce of the garden. Karan's wife, Ramona, was always there to make sure we were having a comfortable stay. Loved the love and warmth of the family. A memorable stay indeed. Wished we could have stayed longer.”
