“An incredible place, very clean, with a pleasant atmosphere perfect for resting and with a privileged location next to the beach. The suites are very spacious with kitchen and a large table. I highly recommend this place.”
Just 1 hour from Mazatlan this getaway beach house is secluded with a private beach, out door shower and kitchen and direct access to the beach. Our home is located in a small fishing village called "Barras de Piaxtla" it is directly accessible via paved road. Every room has its own shower, toilet, tv, air conditioning, & sink. The price listed is for 1 room that can sleep 2 adults& 1 children . Additional 3 same size rooms available for rent totaling 4 rooms, just ask!
“This place is a true gem located right on the beach. The rooms are clean and the outdoor shared space is very inviting. There is an outdoor area for cooking with tables and a nice palapa with plenty of chairs and hammocks for relaxing in the shade near the beach. There are also shade structures on the beach. It is very pretty at night with nicely colored lights around the palm trees and lights around the palapa. Barras de Piaxtla is a very rural fishing village and very few people speak English. We were there during low season so finding food was limited. People make food out of their homes to sell. The women across the street made us breakfast and brought it over to us on plates. Seems like most of the street vendors were closed (maybe opening later in the evening) but the lady at the market with a Tecate sign made a delicious burger with fries. We enjoyed a morning walk up to the lighthouse and to the other side of town where the fishermen were bringing in their morning catch. There are very beautiful views surrounding the area. I recommend getting supplies in Dimas the town after the OXXO before you turn down the road to Barras. There is a very popular Marisqueria there and you can buy supplies, purified ice and water across the street. Maybe even charcoal would be good if planning to cook a lot. While visiting I recommend you visit Zona Arqueológica Las Labradas en San Ignacio. It has over 600 petroglyphs and offers a guided tour for 60 pesos per person. Truly an amazing place. We would definitely stay here again in the future.”
A room with a double bed, living room with sofa and a single bed hidden, kitchenette, bathroom inside and another on the terrace. On the terrace we have a small pool with sea water which is recycled for the conservation of the area, a sunny area and a campfire. Also a full bathroom outside. The decoration is in keeping with the area.
“The place is very nice! And they give you the place very clean, the terrace is very comfortable to spend time and down the beach, you can walk, The sea is very clean and the area is very quiet, I would definitely go again!”
