Kid-friendly vacation rentals in La Fortuna

Karla and her place was a gem and an amazing find outside of La Fortuna. We did not want to stay right in the main town and definitely not at the resorts. This was the perfect blend of local vibes, nature, and amenities. The backyard is beautifully landscaped and very relaxing to come home to after full adventure days. The photos do not capture how gorgeous the scenery is. If Karla's place is available then you should definitely book it - pura vida!

Wonderful very quiet and safe location! Oscar was an amazing host and was very responsive when we had questions. The villa is on a family ranch so lots of animals, the view was breathtaking! I would come back without hesitation!

We had a wonderful time. Ivania was an excellent host. She greeted us and gave us recommendations on things to do in the area. She booked an ATV tour for us that we really enjoyed. Her home is very private and we felt very safe. We can’t say enough good things about Ivania.

We stayed at the Dragonfly for three nights and it was great! Warning to those who plan to sleep in the lofted space, the area is very tight and would be best for kids or short people. Also the AC doesn’t quite reach the lofted space but we still had a comfortable sleep. Overall I’d definitely recommend if you’re visiting La Fortuna!

Great day with a very attentive host!

If every Airbnb had a Tobi, the world would be a better place. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay in Monteverde. We enjoyed the tranquility of the property, watching the sunsets and the kids enjoyed swinging on the jungle vine! It is up a steep hill but Toni’s directions were great. Coming from living by a national park in Canada I struggled with having to pay fees every time we wanted a nature walk/hike. This can add up quickly for a family of four as every park or trail has their own fee system. It’s as shame as the cloud forest is such a beautiful landscape and I wish it were more freely accessible. We really enjoyed the night safari though, and got to see some really neat creatures including a sloth and bioluminescent scorpion.😍 I would recommend Rainbow House as a great place to stay to explore Monteverde.

I would recommend this place to anyone. It was just what we were looking for. The jacuzzi in the room was a gem. We were able to park right in front of our room. It felt safe and it was near town. Very kind staff… they ironed one of my shirts. 🥹

Rebeca was very accommodating! When I arrived at the stay it was better than the photos, the kitchen very clean, the bathroom impeccable, the bedding very clean and smelled very good, this last point costs a lot to be applied in other places when you stay for just one night (as in my case). Super central and comfortable! My recommendation: don't think about it anymore! This is definitely the place you have to book in La Fortuna Centro! When I get the chance I will definitely stay here again!

It was a good stay. We had an issue with the shower and the host resolved us even more than once. Incredible attention, respectful and very attentive. We would definitely stay again. 🤍

Accommodation has everything we need. It's bigger than it looks in the pictures. It is in very good condition and you can see that they strive to deliver it well, even make shapes to towels and paper.

We loved how close to town we were but still seemed private and secluded! The area was calm and quiet we loved having breakfast outside our cabin! The area surrounding was stunning the inside was spotless !!! We also met their friendly little kitten! Place was awesome can’t stop thinking about it can’t wait for the next time we are in La Fortuna.!

Lourdes' apartment was perfect for us. We liked that it is a quieter area so there was no road noise but we could still easily walk to the restaurants and shops downtown. The parking spot right in front of the apartment was very convenient. A/C and wifi worked well and, although we did not cook, it was nice to have a small kitchen with a coffee maker and microwave. Lourdes was so sweet and even gave us some delicious yuca fritters that she had made. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Where can I start....This is my first time to La Fortuna and we had a great vacation with the help of Gregory. Gregory's is a great host and his property is one of a kind which suits well for La Fortuna environment with lot of nature to enjoy inside his property. He helped in almost everything including recommending a nice Chef Gabriel.

The apartment itself is spotless, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Here you get a great value for money. The apartment that we stayed in was nice. It was peaceful. No noise. At the same time a short walk to the city center. A good restaurant nearby. The area had good safe parking. I will definitely be recommending this place. I would gladly return. Best place I've stayed in La Fortuna. Highly recommended. Air conditioning and well-equipped kitchen. The beds were good. The sofa and TV were impeccable. We had a great time. Thank you so much for us.

We had everything we needed and we didn't miss anything. The place is very quiet - secluded from the main road. Some storage space would have been nice but was not disturbing. There was also enough equipment for cooking, even if some things are outdated. All in all, you really can't complain - this is complaining to a high standard.
