“We LOVED our stay here! We stayed 2 nights in Serrana villa and 2 nights in Saba and loved them both. This villa is so cozy and private. Here are a few things about our stay: Host: Janus will take care of anything you need. ANYTHING! Janus is so responsive answering questions and he has connections for everything - tours, chauffeurs, chef, etc. He will definitely go out of his way to make sure your stay is exceptional! Janus greeted us when we arrived and also before we checked out. We were so sad to leave. Location: Soufriere is hands down the best part of the island! I am so glad we stayed here for the majority of our vacation. It is definitely the most beautiful part of the island and is where most of the things to see and do are. We drove all the way up to the north side of the island and saw where the cruise ships come in, where the Sandals resorts are, etc. and I would not recommend staying up there. If you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and stay near Soufriere instead and book one (or two) of Janus’s places. You'd be able to walk from here to town, although having a rental car makes things easier. We felt very safe, both at the villa and around town. Villa & Amenities: We were just two people, but it could easily accommodate four. Both bedrooms and bathrooms are very nice. We only used the air conditioner at night to cool it down a bit and get the humidity out for sleeping, but otherwise we enjoyed the warm open air feel of the villa. Wifi was good and the kitchen had everything we needed. Roads/Driving: We are from the United States so drive on the opposite side of the road. The roads are bumpy and steep in some places, but nothing that can’t be navigated, so don’t let the roads deter you from renting a car. We are so glad we had a car! We did not have cell phone service in St. Lucia but I had downloaded the offline map and we used that for navigation, which worked quite well. We did use the chauffeur service (Janus lined this up) one evening though to go out for a nice meal, as we did not want to drive back that far in the dark. Highly recommend this service as well! Honestly, before booking this villa, when I was reading reviews for all of Janus’s villas, I was thinking that these places couldn’t possibly be so good, at such an affordable price. Everything in the reviews is true and the photos are very accurate. Thanks for the incredible stay, Janus! You provided us with a very memorable trip to St. Lucia and we are so lucky to have celebrated our 20th anniversary here.”
If you're looking for tranquility, peacefulness and a scenic location, then Flamboyant Inn is where you should be . Nestled at the hilltop, with a breathtaking view of the beach and the village of Laborie, this location offers a 10 minute walk to the beach, major restaurants, the market and nightlife activities. It is ideal for couples, business travellers, and families (with kids).
“Flamboyant Inn is in a great location overlooking Laborie beach and within 5 minutes walking distance of the beach and town. The drive up to house is very steep but we soon got used to it. Aretha was a great host, she helped with our questions and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The apartment is spacious with a lovely balcony and comfy chairs where we spent many relaxing evenings. Feeding the birds was lovely as they are very tame but be sure to cover bananas inside the flat or they will help themselves! I would recommend staying at Flamboyant Inn to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in a very unspoilt and real part of beautiful St Lucia.”
Montete Cottages is a small country side cottage in Choiseul St.Lucia. Its the perfect hideaway for somebody who wants to experience the real St. Lucia. Our cottage sleeps 2 adults with a queen size bed, we also have a two more cottage ( Montete hideaway and hilltop). We also offer jeep rentals.
“Vicki's place was GREAT for us, but it won't be great for everyone. First of all, it is way up high in the mountains, up in the big wind (windy all the time we were there.) The accommodations are simple, but sufficient, and very clean. Getting to the cottage is difficult, (4 wheel drive required), but her nephew graciously picked us up in Rodney Bay, drove us many miles to the house, and then drove us around the next day, showing us the sights and helping us buy groceries. Another cousin graciously picked us up and took us down to dinner in the town the next day. On the last day, they drove us to the airport in Vieux Fort, and we spent time with them in their local bar. Obviously, we paid her relations well for this, and we also made some great new friends! Because there was always wind while we were there, there were NO bugs. There is not much to do up high in the mountains, except enjoy the view, sleep in the hammock, and walk around the neighborhood. This suited us just fine, but wouldn't work for everyone, especially someone who is looking for a fancy, beach-based or city vacation. Unfortunately, we didn't meet Vicki, as she was working out of town, but we met several of her relatives, and they were fabulous. Loved this place, and would recommend it highly to anyone who wants something a bit unusual, off the beaten track, and wanting to experience a little real St. Lucia. Thank you Vicki, we will be back when we can! Mary and Andy Todd.”
