Groß Lafferde is located directly on the B1 between Hildesheim and Braunschweig, Salzgitter. There are butchers and bakeries in the village, doctor's and dentist's offices are available as well as a local supplier about 2 km away.

From there it is another 20 minutes by train to the exhibition center.
