This spacious A-frame cottage was built in 1969 by the Chief of police and Captain of the fire department. Being that this home is all original from 50 years ago should give you the perspective and appreciation of how well kept up, and taken care of it is. I am in the middle of working on a couple updates to the home using beetle kill Pine. It is a museum in some aspects. Very cozy and comfortably large area to relax in. Unique in it’s own way.
“Levi was amazingly hospitable and the place was super clean. I love the openness of the place and how well kept it was. The location of the cabin was conveniently located minutes away from hiking trails, a lake, bishops castle and a beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains. A+”

“Maureen's cottage is the perfect spot to getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life! As we pulled onto the property, we were greeted by deer grazing on the grass. Maureen and Michael were wonderful hosts and we appreciated all of the special touches such as farm fresh eggs in the fridge, coffee, a French press, and a fully equipped kitchen! The cottage is cozy, but was perfect for our family of four and our puppy! The kids loved the spiral staircase leading up to the upstairs bedroom with two twin beds, so they each had their own "side of the room". The main floor bathroom was equipped with toiletries and the softest white towels! All of the beds were very comfortable as well. Maureen spent time with our children tending to the chickens and gathering eggs and our kids will never forget the fun memories they made! I loved drinking my coffee from the French press and sitting on the deck listening to Henry the rooster and the soothing sounds of the creek. We enjoyed making a fire and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows for s'mores! We used the grill on the deck for a few meals as well. We also enjoyed playing the board games provided in the cottage. The area offers many hiking trails and we also took a drive to Bishop Castle, which we highly recommend! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we hope to return again!”

“What a wonderful cabin and property! And the owners are awesome at making the time there extra special and relaxing! From the cleanliness, to the cabin’s decor, to the views and all the extra little touches the owners put into your stay...it’s obvious they put a lot of love into their property! Our kids LOVED the cute, little outside playhouse and inside playroom! They could play there forever and never get bored! There’s an adorable tree swing and a wonderful porch to sit and sip coffee and wine as you watch for wildlife (even bears!). The owners truly thought of everything in making their place the perfect getaway! On a side note, it’s a little distance away from stores and restaurants, so definitely plan ahead and bring your groceries for meals! We didn’t mind that at all though! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could ever want to prepare a meal! Our family truly enjoyed everything about our stay! If your looking for a relaxing place for a family getaway, this is your spot! Highly recommend!”
