Surrounded by nature and gorgeous views! The Log Cabin sits steps away from an 8 acre private LAKE w/ ISLAND on 142 Wooded Acres with 5+ miles of hiking/biking trails. Only us and the Tugboat listing have access to the lake and property. The cabin has been newly remodeled with a rustic, shabby chic appeal. Many hand made items using salvaged materiel including the barn table, bathroom vanity, and beautiful chandelier created with a salvaged metal roof of an old fallen home on the property.
“If I could give this place 5000 stars I would. My family and I had such a wonderful time at Mike and Ashleigh’s! My daughters (2 and 4) loved swimming, and when we could get them out of the water, fishing and going on adventures in the forest. The chickens, ducks, and lambs on the property were the icing on the cake! The cabin itself is gorgeous—beautifully decorated, sparkling clean, and everything you need to feel at home. At night, we made s’mores and did some stargazing or watched a movie with the kids. We went into town for ice cream one afternoon which was also delightful. Going into Louisa is like taking a step back in time—a much needed respite from the hustle and bustle of our day-to-day. And Mike and Ashleigh are such wonderful, friendly hosts! We love this place so much we booked it again for later this summer before we left. And we plan on returning again every summer! Mike and Ashleigh found a slice of heaven and we are thrilled that we get to experience it again! If you are lucky enough to find some availability for this place, book it immediately. It is well worth the price—indeed a bargain for what you get—and you will not regret it!”
“Glamping“ experience on a huge horse and cattle farm with spectacular views. Close to Monticello, Montpelier, numerous wineries, great restaurants, Charlottesville. Gorgeous countryside. Second of three such tents grouped near one another (but not too near). Find two other couples and fill them all up.
“This is my second visit to Wolf Trap Farm, and my first stay in the Glamping Tent. My spouse and I wanted a camping experience without having to set up a tent... or sleep on the ground and glamping is an excellent choice for such an experience. The bed was comfortable, the tent was clean and there were basic amenities. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Our favorite experiences were waking up to the view out of the front of the tent, lounging at the swimming hole, and walking the farm to say hello to the horses. We also hiked the trails on the acreage, played pool in the game barn, fished the two ponds and enjoyed a game of corn hole. It's quiet, relaxing and was the perfect weekend getaway. We plan to return with friends next time!”
