Lake house vacation rentals in Lake Macquarie City Council

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful waterfront property in Lake City, NSW. The location was peaceful, the views were stunning, and it was conveniently close to the Central Coast. The home was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Property was immaculate with ample amounts of towels available. The property was tastefully styled with basics such as pool towels, tissues, toiletries and cooking utensils available. Each room had a wireless phone charger and the space was very welcoming. Mandy was incredibly prompt to reply to all communications and we look forward to staying here again the same time next year.

Lucio and Julie were amazing hosts, very accommodating and responsive to any questions I had. The accommodation & location was pristine, could not fault in any way. My husband and kids enjoyed exploring the lake via the kayaks/ canoe and had lots of fun making s’mores by the fire pit. The local coffee shop, takeaway and servo was only a short stroll away. Beautiful home, would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We had a great time staying at Catherine’s house with our family of 8 (including one toddler). The house was spacious for us. It was situated in a relaxing spot by the creek and had amenities (supermarket, food, etc) that we needed nearby (5-8 mins drive away). Highly recommend this place for a relaxing visit to Dora Creek!

We had a wonderful stay at Lyn's property. Beautiful views. Very peaceful and the kids enjoyed fishing of the Jetty.

We loved our stay. Patricia’s place is the perfect little lake house with a very quaint appeal and everything you could need for a relaxing and peaceful stay. We loved sitting on the deck watching the sunrise and enjoying the lake, will be back.

We loved out week-long stay at the multi-level home that looks out over Lake Macquarie. The huge windows mean that you can see out in to the treetops and beyond to the lake from wherever you are in the house. Loved the coffee machine and the big kitchen. Every morning the kookaburras would wake us up with a brief greeting.

Had a great stay with Ilya! House is located in a private and peaceful neighbourhood. All rooms were very clean and provided listed amenities. The spa and sauna were a perfect way to relax! It was also great value. Would recommend :)

Our holiday at Helen's lakeside property was absolutely fantastic! The location could not have been more perfect, right in front of a serene lake with picture-perfect scenery. The view from the property was breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and memorable stay. The spacious outdoor deck allowed us to fully enjoy the natural beauty around us, whether we were having meals, playing games, or simply soaking in the view. Inside, the house was just as impressive—spacious, immaculate, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that Helen has taken great care in maintaining the property, and it made our family feel right at home. What made this holiday even more special was the fact that it was a multi-generational trip with our children and grandchildren. We had an amazing stay at Murrays Beach Retreat! The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect, close to beach, Shops and restaurants. The check-in process was smooth, and communication with Angie was excellent—she is friendly, responsive, and went above to make sure we had everything we needed. Kids especially loved the play room and table tennis. They wrote their thanks in the notebook 🥰 This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had, and we’d definitely will come back! Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Craig and Veronica's place. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The house was also very close to the lake, so we enjoyed lovely walks by the water with our dogs. The family also had a great time kayaking on the beautiful lake, which was easily accessible. The hosts were always quick to respond. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Great place to stay.

Really great place! Went away for a weekend getaway with my family and was so nice to be able to take my dog with us. The only thing that would make the place better is if the pool was heated! We were all looking forward to going swimming, but unfortunately we had cold weather and the pool was too cold for us to use - which was disappointing. Otherwise, great place and would recommend :)

The cottage was in a great location and had everything our family of five needed to have a comfortable, fun, fantastic break. Bruce was a very helpful and hospitable host. We would love to stay again.

Beautiful scenery, the entire family absolutely loved the location and the activities that came along with it. Fishing, swimming, the canoes. Overall an amazing location! The house was beautiful. It was well ventilated and had a good air conditioning system throughout!

We had a fantastic holiday at the Macquarie Lake House. The location was perfect, with private access to the lake, making it ideal for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. The house was spotless and was exactly as described. Judy, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this house and would love to stay again.

The house was beautiful and well apportioned. It had all the amenities and a very well stocked kitchen. Jo and Stew were a delight to deal with, and flexible with check in, including allowing us to check in as early as 9am so we could enjoy the full day on the lake. Would highly recommend!

Wendy is very hospitable in sharing her space. There is every white good product for use, in great condition and making our coffees excellent. We had a lovely time in the spa drinking Champane and sharing our time. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom, divine. The state of cleanliness and comfort is excellent.

Our stay at this property was amazing! The house had everything we needed and more, making it feel like a home away from home. The kitchen was fully equipped, with high-tech appliances perfect for cooking big meals. Thoughtful touches like coffee pods, biscuits, and toiletries added so much convenience. We stayed in the downstairs room and loved the kitchenette—it was so handy to have a fridge nearby. The laundry was excellent; the dryer worked perfectly on rainy days. The towels were luxurious, and the beds were spacious and incredibly comfortable. The kayaks were a highlight, and we had so much fun using them. The house is stunning, with breathtaking views, comfy recliner couches, and amazing TVs throughout. The BBQ was big and easy to use, with a tap nearby, making outdoor cooking a breeze.
