Cabin vacation rentals in Lake Sunapee

I came up to the cabin for my birthday, and ended up having three more people than I thought I would - not only was Ashley super helpful and friendly in getting us set up, but she was extremely reasonable/flexible in pricing for the other guests! The cabin was more than enough to comfortably sleep everyone, and was nice and toasty when we woke up that morning. It was an amazing birthday, for sure because we choose such a great spot !!! I’ll definitely be coming back.

This is a wonderful, peaceful cabin! We so appreciate Wendi’s attention to detail. The whole design was tastefully done. The hot tub was perfect! You get the feeling of cabin in the woods but in a luxurious way. My husband and I had the perfect getaway weekend!

My wife and I were looking to have a lazy staycation and this was the perfect setting. Not too far from town either. Check in couldn’t have been easier, the host was super responsive and friendly. The cabin was gorgeous and cozy, lots of cute touches that made it feel like home. We loved using the fireplace when it got chilly and the hot tub was a huge bonus. All in all, it was an incredible stay and experience and we are already talking about visiting again in the winter when it’s snowy.

I cannot recommend Cabin in the Woods enough. I have not felt so peaceful and relaxed as I did after relaxing at the cabin in a long time. Nights in the hot tub enjoying the silence, the nature all around and the stars in the sky was incredible. We passed the time reading, sipping wine and unwinding. We took day trips to Woodstock and Manchester - we had such a great time. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful spot - quiet and surrounded by nature. House was great, especially for a group of brothers looking to relax in the hot tub, sit by the fire and watch sports! Bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful, lots of games to keep people busy and just a great spot to spend a vacation. Host Madeline allowed us to arrive early because we were traveling from 4 hours away and wanted to take advantage of the day. Super responsive and very gracious to allow us in early. This place is amazing! Upscale amenities and thought of everything. Waking up to seeing the sunrise over the lake from bed was a plus. I could’ve sat on the deck looking at the beautiful surroundings all day. Can’t wait to return soon in the fall.

Love the view out the back windows - wooded hills, river running by, birch trees. The house is charming and cozy with amazingly comfortable furniture. It is very close to the main road, but with the pellet stove providing white noise and the blinds closed, it wasn't an issue. Close to trails, restaurants, breweries, but felt like it was in the woods. The hosts provided lots of toiletries, coffee and other helpful items. They made great recommendations for trails and restaurants. Snowy nights in the hot tub were a delight!

Where to start, such a beautiful location, amazing views from every angle. Kathleen you have created the perfect little cottage, it feels secluded yet close to everything. Very convenient location, everything seems like it's a 10 to 15 minute drive, activities, grocery or just somewhere to be at peace. One of my favorite things was the five minute drive to the local CO-OP, it was such a change up to feel so involved with the local foods and produce provided, here from the Massachusetts south shore its something that we do not get a chance to experiance. Me and my girlfriend came for our anniversary and I'm not sure it couldve been anything less than perfect. Every single thing about the location, the ammenities, the activites, even Kathleen could not have been more transparent, she was very responsive during the booking proccess and more when we were on location, she stressed that if we needed anything to let her know. This is without a doubt somewhere that we are going to stay again.

We had a wonderful weekend at Marty's cabin. The cabin was very cozy, clean and well appointed. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, watched the birds at the feeders and went into Woodstock and beyond for an afternoon adventure. It was so nice to be in a place that was so warm and well cared for. This house was the perfect place to "unplug" and recharge. We will definitely be back again!

Me and my party enjoyed every minute of our stay at Tom’s cabin! The cabin itself was spacious, cozy, and clean. The surroundings were also beautiful, right next to a nice neighborhood and lake. Thomas was a fantastic host and was extremely friendly and helpful. He was always there to answer questions and help out when needed. Overall, amazing trip and I would 100% go back!

Natalia’s home was beautiful! We stayed for a winter ice fishing weekend with a few couples, including dogs and babies. The home was right on the ice, which was perfect for our purpose. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The living room seating was particularly great- everyone always had a comfy spot to sit. We enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous spot! We loved everything about the cabin, from the cozy, beautifully furnished and decorated living area, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the cool maps on all the walls! It was a chilly weekend in Sunapee, but we even managed to soak up some sun on the chairs outside. This was the best place for a homey staycation with good friends -- we had everything we needed and felt right at home here in these lovely, peaceful, private digs that make you feel like you're in the middle of the forest (but still only about a 25 minute walk from cute town, plus Cara has a ton recommendations if you're looking for something to do). We will definitely stay here next time we visit NH!

Stephanie’s cabin is a perfect secluded getaway in the middle of the woods. Nobody else uses the road the cabin is on, and it’s very quiet and peaceful there. The only noises you hear are the rustling of chipmunks surrounding the cabin, You might be visited by a gaggle of turkeys, they left some of their feathers at the front door. Other than that the cabin is also nice inside with basic amenities and electricity. Tv with some classic dvds and some board games. There is no insulation but two heaters if you don’t mind the cold. Overall a great getaway.

My daughters and I loved the cozy cabin! It had everything we needed and more. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! The owners were very thoughtful and even plowed the driveway extra early so we wouldn’t have any trouble driving up to the cottage. Thank you so much for sharing your slice of Heaven with us!

It was cozy, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed — from a well-equipped kitchen to a comfortable bathroom. You can tell the hosts really care; they were super friendly and always available if we needed anything. We only stayed for the weekend, but it was such a peaceful, refreshing getaway that we’re already planning to come back in another season to enjoy more of the nature around. That said, the cabin is perfect even in winter — warm, welcoming, and fully set up for a great stay. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape!

Great place to stay for a few nights. Very remote, but close to a few skiing mountains. Overall amazing stay!!

We love this place so much that we booked again for next year. Can’t wait to go back - plenty of room for two families of four. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. It was a short ride to Mount Sunapee and there was a great little Irish pub right down the street that we fell in love with.

We celebrated my mom's 60th birthday at Jane's home a weekend in December. It was such a great trip and we felt right at home. Thank you for hosting us!

Took my family for a fall getaway to the cabin. Everyone loved it. The room with the lake view was my favorite, although it is definitely a summer room as it does not have windows. Great for big families. Very private and peaceful. You cannot beat a lake side stay. We played Rummikub for 3 hrs one night! Left with many forever memories. Thank you!

This was our third time staying at Carmina's place and we love it there. Perfect base for family-of-three ski vacation at Pats Peak. The house is incredibly cozy, with both heated floors and a gas fireplace, which is just what you need after a long day of skiing. The furniture and beds are all very nice and comfortable, the kitchen is well appointed, and everything is always spotless when we arrive. I'm sure the house is great in the summer as well, with the nearby pond and access to hiking trails. We'll definitely be back!
