A small room with attached bathroom, in the heart of old Patan. Book there if you want to enjoy an authentic Newari House
“The room is just as pictured though a bit smaller than I expected (probably because of the low ceilings). There are three windows that open to the home’s inner courtyard. It’s quiet and protected from street noise. Prakash was able to supply a fan to help cool and provide airflow for the space. All the local recommendations provided were great. Staff at the Cosy Nepal office were friendly and helpful when I stopped by to ask for directions one day. Prakash and his wife arranged a very early morning breakfast and transportation the airport on the day of my departure which I really appreciated. Next time I visit, I’ll plan on taking a cooking class and maybe a walking tour with them. It was a lovely home stay with great hospitality and plenty of privacy.”
Our main concern "Homely and peaceful environment" * Full furnished private room and access to a well equipped shared kitchen. * Rooftop terrace provides great views of Kathmandu Valley and Himalayas. * 24 hrs internet, hot shower and back up line for electricity supply. * Room cleaning service and laundry service. * Nice garden with a possibility of making barbecue. * Best restaurants, hospitals and supermarkets within the radius of 1 km.
“This was my second time staying at Rabin’s place, and I would definitely recommend it. The room and the house are comfortable and clean, and in a great location in Bakhundole, not far form the main road (Pulchowk), but far enough in that it’s very quiet. Rabin and his staff are always super helpful and responsive, which makes staying there so much easier!”
Cozy Sanu House is located in ancient city of Patan, Nepal. Sanu House in Gwarko is around 5 km. from Kathmandu and just around 15 min. by taxi or 25 min. by bus from the International and Domestic airport. Patan Durbar Square and other ancient world heritage sites in Patan is just 15 min. walk from the house.
“Sarita and her niece are both warm and lovely. They made Kathmandu feel like home. I looked forward to their delicious breakfast and dinner each day. The dinner is definitely the best priced in the city. The only downside is their home is a little bit out of the city center, which during the day is no problem at all. There are lots of buses and they will help you to catch one, but as a woman traveling by herself at night it can get a little tricky. A taxi back may cost anywhere from 4 to 6 dollars depending on where you are coming from. Although the hospitality and warmness of the place make up for the distance. I would stay there again and recommend it to any travelers going to Kathmandu.”
