Beautiful house. Definitely one of the well structured and beautiful homes in the valley. You can tell the house was built with love with a lot of attention to details. The house is clean and comfortable. It has beautiful Mountain View and the stars are magical. It’s a peaceful location because of that, it’s a bit away from stores or restaurants but accessible to them. I highly recommend if you’re looking to stay somewhere beautiful with magical views.

Refugio Maras was a home very far away from home. The hosts took care of us very well. The cabins were as described and there is a lot to explore in the charming town of Maras. My friend happened to have an unfortunate emergency and needed medical attention and they went above and beyond to get him to medical care. Very appreciative of the hospitality and care they showed. Would absolutely stay here again. Thank you again!

I had the best sleep here, than I've had in my 3 weeks in Peru. Calmed by the sounds of the river. The room is spacious, clean, and the beds are comfy. Macarena is a wonderful, kind, and very helpful host. The setting in nature is so serene and quiet, with easy access to beautiful nature

1000 characters won't be enough to describe how much we loved this house!! The project of the Earthship is fascinating, and the result is just beautiful. The conservatory/corridor feels like a mini jungle (expect a few insects to share your living space). It's brilliant for a family with ample space and five beds. We played a lot of hide and seek! The garden outside really feels peaceful; In April the flowers are in full bloom. You do have to adhere to the ecological project and there are a lot of rules around water use, waste, etc. but they all make a lot of sense. The surroundings are stunning with the view on the Sacred Glaciers, and there are lots to do around (Salineras de Maras, Moray terraces). People in the village of Maras were very friendly despite our limited Spanish. Be careful, the last few km of road are not easy to drive with a city car (bumpy dirt track). Also, follow the instructions very carefully to find the house or you may get lost in roads difficult to navigate.
