Absolutely the best place we stayed in all of Iceland. A lovely, absolutely beautiful respite and location. We say the aurora both nights, enjoyed a dip in the cold spring, hiked to the top of the mountain behind the home, enjoyed the views to the ocean both from the warmth of the living room and the hot tub! The home is so well appointed, very comfortable beds, linens, sparkling clean. AS we'd already explored Snaefellsnes, Gudrun suggested we explore the area a bit east of Burðardular and it was awesome. My daughter and I enjoyed horseback riding at Sturlureykir Horses and my son and husband enjoyed the ice cave and snowmobiling on the glacier out of Husafell with Into the Glacer- the area is so geothermally active and I wish we'd had time to go to Krauma Hot Springs too! Don't miss Hraunfossar & Barnafoss! We would definitely come back to this area and try to stay longer at Háafel Lodge!

Benjamin's place was a lovely place to rest at north, not to far from road #1 to continue the journey.

Sigrún is a great host: proactive, responsive and true. The place is beautiful, tastefully decorated and well maintained. We chose this as an initial base for 3 nights before spending just 1 night in 4 other properties and we weren’t disappointed. It was a good starting point: in reach of Snaefellsnes, the Reykjanes Peninsula and ‘The Golden Circle’. My two grown up sons and I felt at home here.

From humas to animals, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Bear in mind that you're staying at a working farm, not a hotel. This makes it even more charming.

We loved our stay in this apartment! It was very spacious and felt very homey; I would happily stay here for an extended time. Everything was very comfortable and we had no issues at all. The view from the kitchen and bedroom windows was so calming and beautiful. The best part of this place was the host family. Beate was especially friendly. She welcomed us personally and gave us great recommendations for the town and the area. She was always responsive to messages. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful tiny house, well thought out to sleep almost under the stars, beautiful materials, and in an absolutely beautiful natural setting and calm as I have rarely seen! The Nordic bath brings the finishing touches for a serene and refreshing evening! In addition, Anna's instructions were very clear and make it easy to find/settle in super:) Thank you!

We had a great stay! To be that close to the nature/sea is just awesome. We even had a seal showing it‘s head a few times just in front of us.
