Our cabin is located in the picturesque Kibler Valley just over the Virginia state line. It is equidistant from Mt Airy, NC and Stuart, VA. It is located directly on the Dan River, just down the mountain from it's headwaters. The property sits 4 miles down a 6.5 mile dead-end road. At the end of the road is a hydro-electric power plant. During the summer months the water from the dam is released on week-ends which makes for fantastic kayaking and tubing.
“Very relaxing, within earshot of the river, this is less a vacation cabin than a fully functional home. I brought a few groceries and had everything I needed for a five-day stay without having to leave the valley once. The house was clean and comfy, the kitchen spacious and well laid out. I hope Warren’s place is open the next time I need a fishing vacation!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Granny’s place. Everything we needed and more was present. The house is very spacious, nicely decorated and it contains lovely details that makes you feel right at home. The view at the back of the house was beautiful especially with the autumn colours! We would definitely recommend everyone to stay at Granny’s place!”

“When visiting Sarah & Eric, you can expect nothing but the best an Airbnb can offer. They have everything you could ask for when looking for a place to escape. The hiking trail was very scenic, and the animals were adorable. They were very accommodating with my last-minute changes, and that's all due to excellent communication. I would gladly recommend them to someone just looking to find a place to lose themselves.”
