“Being a frontline NHS doctor, I was desperate to move out of my family home in order to protect my family amidst the Covid 19 crisis. After conveying the situation to Varry, she was incredibly quick at agreeing to host me and is hands down one of the kindest Airbnb hosts I’ve come across. The place: the place was perfect for me as it was secluded from Varry and her family (thus allowing social distancing). Had all the amenities I required - microwave, fridge, en-suite and enough storage space. Location: I was driving majority of the time; however, on a few strolls around the area, the place is very close to some convenience stores and bus stops. There’s also a wonderful park nearby which meant I could go for walks on some of my days off from work! Lots of off street free parking space too! Varry and her family: I was incredibly humbled when Varry agreed to host me. She made sure I was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities without even asking! She was incredibly generous, and knowing that I was living away from home, Varry made sure I had a hot meal available to eat the second I entered home. I cannot find enough words to describe her kindness and generosity throughout my stay! Although we did not meet much face to face, I will definitely be keeping in touch with her and try to meet once we reach a state of normality! :) This is an experience that I won’t ever forget!”
Newly decorated one double bedroom flat with private garden available in a central location.
“We picked Willem's apartment because it was so close to the condo of our family. In addition, we liked that the underground Harrow on the Hill station is only a 2 minute walk away. It took us 40 minutes and two trains to reach the Tate Modern Museum the one day we ventured into central London. We enjoyed staying there a lot. The place is small but Willem has it organized so efficiently. The kitchen is the most wonderful space with a fresh juice maker which we used every day and a wonderful French press for coffee. It is next to a busy street and across from an upscale shopping mall. We walked to Marks and Spencer for groceries. The first day we had a heatwave and our other two days it was rainy and cloudy. The apartment has two umbrellas which came in handy. When it was 105 degrees Fahrenheit the fan in the bedroom brought some relief but we bought a stand alone fan for the living room. The place has a cute fenced back patio with nice landscaping of bushes and flowers. Cable TV and internet worked great. The bathroom was roomy and had a working shower. The beds are small. We were with three adults two of which 6 feet 4 so that was a bit of a challenge but we made it work and slept good. Willem was very quick to respond to emails. We highly recommend his place.”

“Renée's house is a dream. It is my Gothic Barbie dreamhouse. The interior is amazing. My favourite is the floral wallpaper in the bathroom. Everything exudes warmth but also mystery. That made me squeak of happiness. The bed is comfortable and the room has everything one could ask for. The host is a lovely unique woman who worked in the movie industry. She is a very gifted artist and the house is filled with her stunning paintings. A picture perfect dog named Spartakus also lives here. Spartakus is the strongminded guardian of this house. He likes to cuddle but he's also not shy and speaks (or barks up the right tree) up. To sum it up: He is a very good boy (thinking about it...he is the best boy) I had a wonderful time and I'm sure I'll come back someday. XOXO Karin”
